Title: Betting one number, no progression, question
Post by: MrJ on Oct 29, 03:29 PM 2013
Got a question fellas. What do you think is the best way to bet ONE number per spin (not the same number)...... not using a progression?

What I mean is, up or down a unit after "X" number of no hits...... then maybe up or down a unit after a win etc. What is the best approach to this? (BR is not an issue).

I play single numbers all the time (repeaters).  They come in waves for the most part...so I have been playing a single unit till I get a win and then depending on how long the dry spell was...I determine how aggressive to get for the next x amount of spins.

For example...no wins for three attacks and then a win...I might go to 3units for the next couple attacks...if no wins for 5-8 attacks which is about the max I generally encounter...maybe go 5-8 units per after the first win.

Every situation is different and I know you do alot of tracking and analysis of your play away from the casino too...so I'm assuming you see the same kinds of things (cycles of multiple losses followed by heavier runs of wins).  This is all B&M so there's no RNG and there's no penny bets.

The nice part is if you are losing for longer stretches its all at a low multiple (1 except for the first losing attack) and so long as you can back up a win or two with a couple more...it all works out pretty nice.

Most people can't play this way though because you are looking at 200-500 spin sessions (200 with a live dealer and 500ish with Roulette Evolution in my case) and you can't really take a break.   You are really depending on being there for the 5-10% of the total spins when the stars align and being at the right betting level...a restroom break could be the few spins where you miss 3 wins in 8 spins at a 5 or 8 unit multiple...I bring that up because it just happened to me (too much soda cost me a ton of money..I was in fact really really unhappy how much the free soda ended up costing me)

You nailed it with that post rouletteKEY

Imagine if you got paid on a Friday after a weeks work and the catch was that anybody who didn't turn up on a Friday would forfeit their wages!! How many would throw a sickie?

In other words....you have to be there to catch the payday. Don't limit your opportunities by making time an issue. My longest session recently was 6 hours+. That was the time it took for the 'stars to align'. It sure beat walking out a loser if I had lost the plot and tried to recoup through a rough trot.

cheers

Ken, by changing your number's you are doing 2 things.

1) Which is the key to online playing. Your bets are not static.
2). You are actually leaving it on LUCK to make you the money.

If BR isn't an issue, I personally would play flat bet all the way. Decide today $20.00. Flat bet till the $20.00 is gone.  If you going to try and be lucky, no need to go in with a big bankroll.

That's just my view of things.
