I just play around with on idea using dozen.
You wait until a dozen repeat and then you wait it to stop repeating.
Then you bet once that next dozen will not repeat.
Simple.
Now the staking plan is to win two in a row after losing twice or more in a row to recoup previous loses.
I like the idea not to increase the bets or win two in a row after the first loss as you gain back half of your previous loss.
I would like some help developing the progression/staking plan with this method.
This is how it would look like ...
The progression for even money bets winning two in a row is as follows.

Bet one dozen 4 times, if W or L go to next dozen and bet 4 times....
If after W hit same dozen no bet ,wait other dozen and start to bet.
Progression +1 after W / after 4Ls -1, when bankroll in plus reset to 1unit.
After twice in row L4, stop wait virtual W and bet again .

Ego, I just noticed your post. Trying to work out the progression for a single parlay bet on double dozens isn't and exact science. Here's the simple way:
1-1; 1-1 = +2
2-2; 2-2 = +4-2=+2
3-3; 4-4 = +7 -6=+1
6-6; 9-9 = +15-12=+3
11-11; 15-15=+26-24=+2
20-20; 30-30=+50-46=+4
etc....
You must win the first bet in each level to make the second bet. What makes it not a perfect progression is that if you win the 1st bet and lose the 2nd bet, you lose the whole amount.
What I posted is like a martingale progression for double dozen bets.
You could create a D'Alembert progression and make it less risky. Not foolproof, but a little less risky.
