Tom,  Whoever created the chart made a mistake I think.

It looks like the 1st bet is 1.  We win which gives us 2.  Now the 2nd bet is 3.  But to be able to bet 3 on the 2nd bet, we must add 1 more of our units.  It is true that we will have 6 after the 2nd win, and we will only be at +4 because we supplied 2 units to win 6 units.

The 1st bet on the 2nd row is again 1.  The win is 2.  The 2nd bet of the 2nd row is also 3 which means we have to supply another unit.  A win gives us 6 on the table.  2 of which are ours.  But our profit is not +3 on the 2nd row unless we lost the 1st bet on the 1st row which would leave us at -1 going into the 2nd row.  But if we lost the 2nd bet on the 1st row, we would have lost 2 units.  That means that we would be +6 (winnings from 2nd row) -2 (units supplied to win on 2nd row) -2 (units lost from 1st row).

He seems to have only considered the losses from the 1st bet but used the winnings from the 2nd bet.

I could be reading this wrong.  I'm a little beyond mid century agewise so anything's possible.

im not 100% on this thing yet but the basis  you bet one add the win and another unit =your original bet on that line if its a winning bet...
if win its 1plus 1 plus 1  for the second bet
gives you 6 units minus your 2 invested=plus 4


Winning is a rare thing for me so i don't get that joy a lot:)
