Deleting posts

Recently I wrote a post trying to mend fences with turnerfeck and agreeing with Bayes on one point.  It was deleted.

Out of common courtesy, couldn't the person who deletes a post at least say why they did it?  There was noting offensive or off-topic in my post.

Frankly, I don't think that's too much to ask.

I did not understand the word  Bioviate, but guessed it may have to do with cows, Sam is from Texas and must have many kinds of words and meanings from cattle.

I think you are reffering to the JL BV thread, yes the answer is in my posts, I am keeping it clean so all we have there are the results, I leave any questions for a day or so so any responses can be read but then I delete the chaff so we keep the wheat

lol....The fridge light scenario is one of those annoying thought experiments that gets people at fever pitch sometimes.
can you be bothered to retype and enlighten me with your expose? i would be very interested.

An amp meter is a device one attaches across (around a wire, actually) a circuit to see if that circuit is drawing current.  If it is, something ( a bulb) is causing this.  Thus, we can--with the door nailed shut--attach said device and determine the on-ness or off-ness of the light!

That is the accepted method.  The red neck method is to shoot a hole in the fridge and see if light comes out.  Customers hate this method.

Sam...lol....this is the point. It is off when you meter it. The current drops. Its off when you look through the hole....but is it off when you disconect the meter and dont look through the hole.
We know its off when we make a phisical observation. We assume (we dont know) its off when we are in bed or 20miles away at work.
Its a thought experiment to distinguish between knowing and assuming
