Odds and payouts are different things. If either the odds or payouts don't change, then the result is the same - eventual loss.

What I think many of you (myself included) are afraid of.

Yes, gang, I included myself!

What are you afraid of?

I once sold used washers, dryers and refrigerators.  I could sometimes get them for free, but I usually paid a small token.  I would make from $100 to $400 or more on the sale of these appliances.  You know what I told my wife?  "This is too good to be true!  This simply can't last."  When I would have a bad week, I'd know for sure the world had caught onto me and I was done for.  My house would go, my car would go and my family would starve.

Never happened.  Made enough money that I am retired and just comfy--not rich.

The poet Rilke said, "Our fears are like dragons guarding our most precious treasures."  I think he was wrong.  Our fears are like dragons standing between us and our most precious desires.

So what are you guys afraid of?  That it will work for a while and quit. Just like the sale of Whirlpool refrigerators!  Many of you don't even want to see it tried because you get your hopes up and they have been dashed on the rocks of random so many times you just can't take one more heartache!  So you attack those who try.

As I test the LvF, I'm scared to death it will fail at any time.  Why?  Because so many times I have had what I thought was the key to the mint only to find that I was riding the wave of a huge anomaly!  When the correction came, I was dashed on the aforementioned rocks.  I'm really tired of being dashed on the rocks.  Aren't you?

So we go to bed at night and we snuggle into our covers and we whisper into our minds, "My God, I've got it!"  And--tell the truth--aren't you scared to death to test it thoroughly?  Last night I saw my beautiful grand daughter put to the test on the basketball court.  Her team went up against the #2 team in her conference.  Three days ago, they beat #1.  These girls were knocked to the floor and one bled.  They were put to the test and they won.

What if they had stayed in the locker room and just decided not to test themselves?  No guts--no glory.

So I'll admit--I'm scared every day.  Every time I log onto Spielbank to test the LvF, I'm scared.  When I bet real money, I'll be more scared.  But, by the gods, I'll do it.

That's my Sunday morning sermon.  Hear me now and believe me later.

Sam,

The things you said were so true.  And It is not so bad to admit that we are afraid but it would be worse to hide it and give up cowardly without even trying.

The man who pis.ses all over himself but stands to fight is not a coward.

We must stand before our fears and fight.

Thanks for your input!

Good post Sam,

Its a defense mechanism is fear. Somewhere you realise its not a good thing, so you create fear.
Remember, you generate the fear. Not the Tiger, not the driving exam, not the first day at a new job. its all in your head. You cant stop the fear, but you can ignore it and suffer the pain.

Personally...Im so conservative in everything I do I never do it lol.

I am not afraid...

I expect failure as a necessary evil and know that I have, and am, currently doing everything within my powers to minimize failure.  I learn from it when it happens and build on it for future success.

I expect success, I anticipate success and I realize that failure is part of the equation but that it does not have to be the end of the equation...just a stopping place (hopefully ever so briefly) along the way to the next success.

If I am afraid to srikeout I guarantee my at-bat is not the best it can be.  NO FEAR friends.  Do your research, test endlessly, play within your means and play smart.  Have a plan that is well thought out with stop losses and pre-set points of attacks based on your research, studies and experience, and play to win.  Those in America know what a "Prevent" defense does.  It prevents the winning team from holding onto the lead by being overly cautious.  Don't take this the wrong way...do not throw caution to the wind.  If you have a well thought out strategy then you also know when to pull back, when to leave the table and when to just take a small loss instead of chasing it into the abyss.

Does Plan A always work out...Nope.  But plus still outweighs minus and I anticipate that to continue regardless of what naysayers have to say.  Is there a holy grail...maybe...but I have yet to see it.  Is there alot of methods and style of play that may generate a profit...yupper.  Maybe I have been fortunate for quite a while and maybe things go South in my next session...who knows.  But I am anticipating kickin the ever living cr*p out of the casino in the long run and a few short term setbacks are par for the course and are not to be feared.  If they (the setbacks) happen more frequently than they should...that goes back to method of play and maybe that method should not be part of your arsenal.  Certainly luck helps or hurts..I prefer to have good luck...but I do everything in my power to dismiss bad luck as soon as I see it coming.

It's beatable.  It's not easy and even with a good track record sometimes you come up short (sometimes way short) but what is the point of reading all the posts, doing all the testing and the relentless pursuit of the method to beat all methods?  You have to play to win and sitting on the sidelines and not taking the well thought out risk...that is scary to think about.

For me it's one big science project.  If I go down in flames my wife and kids will still be there for me...I'm not putting the toys at risk...so really what do I have to lose?

Play smart, play hard, adjust as necessary, use good money management and play to win.

Just my take for what it's worth.

Sometimes it is better to forego a win than to realize a loss.

something that really works has to work. not for  a day or two. at least  2 weeks, but better a month of testing. showing GOOD result, not just roller coaster. There should be clear winning. Much  more than losing. Holes and bumps are not a good sign, even if at the end there are more bumps. This is a sign of just a good luck.

well, i think there is also gut feeling involved. When u get to something really good. it must have some logic behind it and something that goes along with roulette nature.

for example betting on outside bets is not going well along with roulette nature. Roulette nature are numbers. When the ball falls it does not fall on red, black or high or odd. it falls on certain numbers.

but on the other hand if u pick certain group of numbers (changing every time according to conditions and to the ball fall on some numbers) could be just right for some reasons. But again there should be some logic according to roulette nature.

As Turner said: we know that on average the ball will hit 24-25 numbers out of the last 37 spins. And will miss 12-13 numbers. If u make something work according to this fact u can be just right.

another fact is that u can't be right just every time because of frequent fluctuations. So whatever will work in won't work EVERY TIME. it will work ON AVERAGE. but on the other hand if u
push your luck for too long and too frequently u will lose even with a good method with a logic and accordance with roulette nature.

think about it.

there are NO HOLY GRAILS. nothing will work continously.

(again -- all this is not about AP and roulette physics. Physics will work all the time if u are able to use them. Most of the time anyway. but this is not something we are talking about now)
