Odds and payouts are different things. If either the odds or payouts don't change, then the result is the same - eventual loss.

Hello all,
It is been a while that I posted.  I have been using most of the systems posted by GLC (Mr. Clooney man) and Mr. Tomala on Baccarat based on my win goal for the day. I have been very successful on picking up three to four units a day on high roller roulette or baccarat tables., Living in Las Vegas  that is very highly unlikely but I did it for last 6 months or so.
Now going back to what happened tonight in Mandalay Bay is that I was playing roulette two Columns and lost 14 times in a row (not even hitting dreaded 0 or 00) what are the adds on that? can any one figure out and tell me please?.. fortunately I did not get cleaned up as I followed imaginary winning the bet system (mostly Null betting after two losses).

Well.....in answer to the topic question..........its possible cause it happened!

Don't know the odds for it tho............never understand how and why odds in this game
cam make a difference to anyone's game plan, because if you knew/know all the odds
you would just never play a game!

Just put that one down to experience eh, that a Column can miss for 14 times in a row!
(assuming that is what you mean.............any static bet will kill/get you in the end.)

I think, if I saw a row of misses (say 5 or 6) I would be moving my bet, virtual or otherwise!

cheers

Thank you for the honest post.

I've been to Vegas and have had similar experiences. I read a book that was first discussed on this very board called
Roulette, Playing to Win, by Brett Morton.

He had a strategy that was playing with the table or against the table.  He called it Steaks or Chops. Steaks, bet with. Chops bet against.

In other words, if you keep seeing a pattern for example
of    Black, Black, Black, Red, Black,Black, Black,

Then if you were playing with the table (Steaks) you'd bet Red, Black,Black,Black, Red until you lost.
If you were playing against the table, you'd bet Black and if you won, you'd stop. You'd watch the table again to see the pattern
and go Steaks or chops.

So in spins that you mentioned, you'd bet with the table. After seeing six consecutive, Morton would bet against, lose. Then he'd bet with until he lost. It's unusual, but I've seen many patterns of 10, 12 repeating. And I've seen such random spins that there were no patterns. Which is also a pattern.

It's an inexpensive book to purchase on Amazon. It has some really easy to understand strategies that work. Particularly about money management.

Thanks for  being so honest. I thought that I was the only person who ever lost at Roulette.
Good luck.

14 ways to lose out of 38 events.

14/38 = 36.84% chance of losing.

14/38 ^ 14 (loses in a row) = .00008848% chance of that happening.

Or something close to that.

The longest I've personally seen a single dozen/column steak is 9 in a row.
