american wheel layout and columns...exploit?

question for the vets and old timers of the roulette forums

there was a guy who claimed he had an edge focusing on the american wheel columns...he only bet columns...he cracked the wheel

he wouldnt give away the strategy

lets put heads together...

I know this is a simple minded approach but

Spin 1- bet column 1 and 3
Spin 2- bet column 1 and 2
Repeat

Maybe we need a proof test

This method is quite good. I've been using it on my roulette app and have hit pretty well on it. I missed about 4 spins in a row once out of 50 spins. Other than that I would miss 2 spins and then hit. Of course I was just sticking to the first 2 columns the whole game.
