hi all i got this question and i cannot get my head ...hope Bayes or someone else know the answear,   say i got event ex. colum hit say colum 3 and what i know after that colum 3 hits is that probability of colum 2 to hit is  32%,also colum 3 to repeat 12/37x12/37 so i make a decision to bet on colum 1....why would not work....and also why probability of repeat on dozen or colum is 12/37x12/37..thanks

Probability of 3 hitting is 12/37 even after 3 has hit but predicting the next 2 will be col 3 before they happen is 12/37 x 12/37

Same as 1 followed by 3 or 3 followed by 2

Predicting the 2 events is 12/37 x 12/37
Nothing to do with repeats

If I get your question

Same with 13 13. People think the repeat is the issue but 36 followed by 15 is same probability

thanks Turner i will try to wack it in my head

Maestro may I also suggest trying to find some answers on Bayses new web site? It is true roulette encyclopedia and you can find many answers and examples of probability calculations there. So one can learn to calculate any probability of his interest. It really isnt hard to understand although on first some formulas may look scary.

Bayes put it all nice and simple, same as he explains all.

@Turner ....call me idiot or whatever but i dont know why but i think that numbers are not hiting with same probability....say if 30 hits is lower probability to hit say 8 than 23

Im trying desperatly to understand the above but I am not getting it mate.

I meant that people get hung up on repeats.
Say 13 follows 13.. they say the odds of it happening are 1/37 × 1/37  but they dont get that the odds are same for any 2 numbers to follow each other
2, 16
0, 33
12, 11

Each number is 1/37.  22 followed.by 36 is 1/37×1/37

When you look at a marque and it has 17 numbers.....that combination has probably never come out in the history of roulette.
