Sorry for the lousy post, Guys!  I thought I had learned something, but it was just another dead end.  Didn't want to continue........

Thanks for the kind words.  The guitar is sounding better.  I can play three cords or is it chords?

Laters..........

Hey Sam, don't worry, feel free to share your *IDEAS* like any other member.

If you browse around a little you'll even find ideas for FIXED BETS, which are certain not to work, but everyone is free to test (-and *MUST* test --as expected! to realize it).

Question: did your idea had to do with fixed bets *or* a bet selection process which accounts for timing? :)

Just curious.

Welcome old wise one.

Your posts are always appreciated.

I liked your old avatar better.

OK, I'll try again........and I'll leave it up no matter how silly it sounds after I get in the shower.

Imagine there is a pick three like in horse racing.  You must pick the next three colors and you pick for red to hit three in a row.  Now, as I see it, the odds are definitely against you.  You have only roughly a 12% chance of winning three in a row.

Conclusion:  There can be a time when the odds are against you--far more than the 2.7%.

Question:  If every yin has its yang, does there exist a time when the odds are in your favor to balance this out?  Would there be/is there a way to structure a bet so that the odds favor us?

Look at it another way:  While it's true that red and black "always" have equal chances of winning, in my pick three scenario that is not so.  What is it that makes black consistently  win more?

Again, I am back to R.D. Ellison and his "statistical pressure".  Can't get away from it.

Sam

By the way, thanks for Odot and the kind words.

Hello again dear Sam.

In my gaming framework, Ellison is half-right.

While it is *expected* to have statistical pressure, Mr. Ellison doesn't account for the short-term instability. When such "pressure" event doesn't happen, it is better to go with the extremes than against them.

Expectancy and reality don't always match Sam, that's why the savvy player has its triggers worked out for what's expected (in Ellison's work, the expected pressure) but also has a plan B. for the times on which the extremes continue to kick in, and then the expected is set aside and the plan changes to "ride the extremes" mode.

...remember, in this game you can't count on making the same things over and over and getting the same results, the game is in an ever-changing state and you have to adapt to it.

Thanks for sharing your "brainstorming" with us
