THE ABSENT MINDED WINNER

Two players are sitting next to each other at the roulette table. One of them writes all the winning numbers
with great accuracy that could be confirmed by a dozen scientific researchers. When one street is the most frequent, he is betting that street.

The other player seems to use a similar procedure. But whenever the leading street is at least two steps ahead, he seems to be rather absent minded:
When he wins in this situation, he does not write anything! What a fool, people might think.  His paper does not show the true development.

After many spins the most winning street is many steps ahead. The first player notices with great accuracy that he has won much.
Then the leading street goes to sleep; and for a LONG time the other streets are creeping........

The "absent minded winner" (me  ) does not care.

I initiated this topic the same day I initiated another topic titled "perpeteum mobile (straight up)".
This was not a coincidence. Someone else might have the idea to use both methods at the same time.
Noone else did. I might have explained myself badly. To complicate matters more I came up with more versions with perteteum mobile.

The absent minded winner bets a street only when it is THE MOST frequent street according to his paper work.
This paper work is not completely in accordance with reality, as the winner "forgets" to note the winning number,
if the street is two steps or more ahead of any other street.  It is quite common that the leading street exceeds all other streets like a rocket,
untill it falls down and goes to sleep. The absent minded winner does not worry, as some other street rapidly might come to play the leading role in his paper work.
