Double streets as Dice

Hi everyone,  just wondering,

Has anyone on here played around with the idea of using the 6 Lines / Double Streets on the layout as dice??

Yes every spin is 1/6 chance
Though we could "combine 2 spins" and use their sum in similar fashion to 2 dice being thrown.

For example there are 36 possibilities  in 2 dice being thrown / 2 spins of the wheel

Think craps:
A "pair" totaling 7 has a higher probability
( 6 combinations )
Vs say a pair totaling
2  ( 1 combination )
12  ( 1 combination )

So i'm just wondering,
Any old ideas from the past i could
be pointed to - or new and unique ideas floating around ??

hi,

I also fumbled around with this idea but never really got anywhere with it.

Cool mate , what did you try??

I have a few ideas.  .  .

For example if 12 and 2 are least likely - the only way to form a 12 or a 2 in 2 throws of a dice / 2 spins - is to have back to back repeats on 1 or 6 ?

May serve well while playing other games at the same time

I played with this idea a while ago, but I have not been able to exploit it so far.

This is one of those many imbalances where the outcome of the next two spins (rolls) are not equally likely. Note that the odds of each single outcome are the same, I'm not denying it.  But as a group of two outcomes, 7 has a higher chance of happening. It doesn't mean that if the first result is 6, then it's more likely to get 1 in the next spin. It was nicely explained in this post.

I also tried a different thing. I used two dependent sets, the normal outcomes and the ordinal set as it was introduced by rrbb.

This way we have two outcomes after one spin, but instead of 11 possibilities we can always only have 6 possible results if we add the two outcomes together. We also know before each spin which 6 combined outcomes are possible in the next one.
A bit difficult to explain, but if you are familiar with the ordinal set, you should know what I mean.

You can also do the same with other positions. For example the sum of two dozen outcomes are more likely to be 4 than any other possibilities.

Interesting read mate thanks for that.
Similar to what you and I both agree to, a 1/6 shot on a spin by spin basis.
Yeah I have played with the ordinal streams a fair bit. Which gives me an idea

Have you thought about redefining a lines position on the table???

Traditionally,
Line 1 is thought to be numbers 1,2,3,4,5,6
Line 2 - 7,8,9,10,11,12
You know the rest!

So what if we relabel Line 1 and call that Line 6, and we now call Line 2 - Line 1, etc etc... What's stopping us from doing that? Nothing!

Now, the 1 and 6 are on the same side - even within the same dozen

ati

Sure we can do that, but it would have the same random properties.
I have quickly tested 1000 spins in excel where I swapped line 1 with line 6, all stats remained the exact same.

If we want to rearrange the field, I'm more interested in rearranging the rectangle shape to a square shape. There supposed to be a "big imbalanace" as posted by reddwarf in this thread, but I don't see what that imbalance is
I'm sure it is no coincidence that Priyanka also created a topic a few years ago about squared shape roulette table and referred to someone she admires. That someone I'm sure is reddwarf. But no one really wanted to look into it, so the thread died quickly.

HANS,

You found the missing 5‰ of the immortal!

Use your wheel layout street map you posted in 2011 with the 6x6 drive by Hermes.

Cheers ati,
When you say you tested 1000 spins - what was your plan of attack???

It's easy to work out whether you have an  advantage or not without all that testing - of course it will still break even.

I'm just hear to try new things mate and hopefully spark some interest to get new ideas

Turning the table into a square is something I've definately never thought of so many thanks - have lots to play around with
