Break even method?

Hi guys. Near me is a casino that rakes a small ammount from every spin on the slot machines to fund a local jackpot. It is then won 'randomly' when reaches at least 1,000 and maximum 2,000. I have won it myself a couple of times, 1,5 k and 1,7k. Others won it for just 1k or right at 2k.
The thing is you don't know when it will be released so it becomes a crazy rush. I once poured 4k in a week in hopes to catch it because it was already at 1,9k...lost 1k, went with another 1k hoping I can make it back...another 1k to make the loss smaller and another 1k then a lucky bastard took it while I was out for a smoke.
So yeah...but that happens because I play Egt games like Shinning Crown-3 lines with 5 symbols each preety high volatility it can give 500x win or 1k spins constant loss.
The machines also have a virtual roulette game. I am aware that the odds could be manipulated but even so what would be a good breakeven bet so I can play long hours without losing a fortune? Ah forgot to mention that min bet is 1 unit so I can't qualify if i pick the smallest bet and go on.

Perhaps bet 1 unit on dozen one & 1 unit on high (outside 19-36 box)? That is probably the smallest widest bet possible. Being a small bet is the key for longest survival. Not one to make money on of cause & at some point Zero(s) will most likely body slam you bankroll.
