Risk no more than 1 unit a day…

This idea is from a German Roulette Forum, where a member had the following idea:

He thought: which is the smallest loss one can have ??

Right 1 unit . And this 1 unit he was willing to loose ââ,¬â€œ not more than 1 unit !!!

He was playing every day and loose on bad and average days 1 unit.

But on 2- 4 days (2-4 days out of 7 days) he wins 2-9 units ( 9 units was his maximum win on  1 day).
He played only Red/Black or Pair /Impair or High/Low.

He wrote, that his net win a week averages from 1 to 5 units !!!

It seems to be not so much , but  1 unit can be 1 cent or 1 $ or more, like 100 $.
This wins were reached without progression !!!!!

But- very important!!!!- he stopped his play for the day, when he lost this one unit!!!

Its only an idea, but for him it worked.

He began playing with a bankroll of 20 units and every time, when he doubled his bankroll, he doubled the worth of his unit (means if one would begin with 20 units of par. ex. 1 $ ,= 20 $ total bankroll and he increased his bankroll to 40 $, he increased his unit size from 1 $ to
2 $ ).

Nice idea and it seemed to work for him

Hi Kawa,

Nice story, only I wish I knew 'how' he played the EC's to be in the positive. I wonder, did he sit down in the casino, and if he lost the first bet, then walk out and go home?
Again, good luck to him, it's some accomplishment to beat the odds...but then again, it's easy to lose just 1 unit...but a much more different story to win 2-9 units

Interesting concept.

The reverse of trying to win 1 unit every day.

Seems like it wouldn't be doable over the long haul.

Did he say how much and how long he's been winning?

Or what his bet selection method is?

I have tried playing a parlay where I start with 1 unit.

I use the following partial parlay:
1  If I win I am +1.  If I lose I am at -1.  End of 1st session.
1  If I win I am +2.  If I lose I am even.  Go back to 1 unit.
2  If I win I am +4.  If I lose I am even.  Go back to 1 unit.
3  If I win I am +7.  If I lose I am +1.  Go back to 2nd 1 unit.
4  If I win I am +11.  If I lose I am +3.  Go back to 2 unit.
6  If I win I am + 17.  If I lose I am +5.  Go back to 3 unit.

I've never been able to win because of all the small losses in between streaks of wins.

In my case it doesn't matter.  I'm both!

Calypso

yes  this is interresting indeed

as we always look for a longterm winning system/stategy/method . .   and its a pain in the ass finding something that cracks the house edge. .

but we all wouldnt probably sit our lifetime in a casino on a roulette table. .

so lets say is u minimize your losses by 1 unit . .  and u will lose this unit in your first bet
and then u leave. .  u might sit out a bad session from hell. .  or simply said a day where nothing works. . .

but if u win the first bet . .  u might be in a session from heaven wher everything works out. .  an u make more profits. .  then u lost the other day . .  and thats rather easey by risking only 1 unit. .  lol

but to be clear . .  with this aproach . .  u simply sit out bad days. .  and play on good days. .

nice. .

kawa4711

In his first posting he told the forum that he waits for a sequence of par. ex R B R B R B R B and tried to get some streaks.

When he looses at his first bid he stops and the game is over for him for this day
When he has a W L situation ( so he has no win and no loss) he plays again till his 1 unit is lost

When he has par ex W W W L he end the play for this day.

Sometimes he plays a long time like WLWLWLWLWLWWL - stop won 1 unit.

To make the trip worth while, I wonder what is the difference between a new day and just a short break between attacks.
Say 10 minutes.

Or am I starting to abandon the system?

I think a possible approach could be:

Not only to fix at the EC with 1 unit, you can look at other chances :
play par ex. the streets (1-3, 4-6, ....34-36) this way:

wait for 6 different streets like street 1,5,3,4,6,2 (no double beetween like 1,5,5,3,4,6,2)-then play 1 time this streets par. ex at  6 x 0,2 $
= 1,2 $ = 1 unit.

I ve tested this 6 street approach and it looks not so bad, but like all things at roulette there should be a lot of tests without money (papertrials or fun money) and then perhaps one can perhaps try it at a casino with money, he is willing to loose.
Playing with real money is dangerous and who is willingh to play with real money should always realize that he can loose his money - with this 1 unit strategy too.

The author of the " 1 unit idea " answered to a similar question (why do you not play 24 hours a day) that he thought there are good days and bad days and on bad days he looses only 1 unit and a break will not chnage the tough luck ( this was his opinion).

;D

George, this is exactly the way I feel about these types of system. For the life of me I can't see any logic in them. What interval of time is it necessary to leave between spins or sessions so that it makes a difference between winning and losing long term?

I just don't see the connection.  :'(

maybe u guys just have to start to think differently.. or out of the box so to speak.. ?

i know some people use personal permanences .. ie if they played a session and wrote down
each spin on a paper .. they would use on there next trip the same paper where they tracked the last session.. and keep adding the actual spins.. and play there system..

does it really mather ??? .. no cause the wheel has no memory nor .. a past or even a future

so actually u can play a  new session after a break.. ... but why risk it.. why not call it a day..?

think of this ... if u swim in a pool full of sharks and u get bitten ... would u get back in the pool after 10 mins of  a break ??? ... i dont think so .. u would rather wait a day . then try to swim with the sharks again...  or never ;)

I think this was the idea behind the "1 unit idea" and the author of the idea did well with it and he won - so the idea worked for him.

At one time he wrote he won total a net of over 70 units ( looks not so much, but 1 unit can be 1 $ or 100 or more $).

I dont know, how his bankroll ende, but I think he was in plus or is in plus...

Like I started, it's an interesting idea.

Unfortunately, it's 1 hour and 10 min round trip for me to go to the casino.

I'll wait until someone on our forum tries it and shows us that it can be done.

I suppose that if you started with 30 $1 units and averaged winning 30 units every month and doubled the bet size every time you won another 30 units.  At the end  of 12 months your $30 would have become $63,440.

Okay, that might be worth a 1 hour and 10 min drive each day.

Uhoh.  There's a problem.  My airball roulette machine only allows up to $25 bets and unfortunately our $1 doubled 12 times means I would have to bet units of $2,048 in Dec.  Unless I could figure out a way to win more than 30 units each month.

Once again, it's an interesting idea.

George

I just had a thought.  What if we decided that we couldn't lose more than 10 units per day.  That's only 300 units in a month.  That should be affordable.  It also gives us more wiggle room for different systems to use to try to win while not losing 10 units.
In my case it doesn't matter.  I'm both!

well for that problem .. u could take some friends with you .. to override the table limits..
just diversifie the amount to bet with your friends...

maybe i will try that out .. as i have 3 casinos within a 15 ride by car where i live..

Check out my post "Different Bet Method" under Money Management.

We could use that method of betting and risk losing however many we start with or winning what we start with.

We could start with say 5 units and if the total of all our numbers reaches 10, we have to stop because we will have lost 5 units.

If we clear all our bets, we will have won 5 units and can call it a day.

Just a thought,

Cheers,

George
