Years ago I saw someone host a roulette competition. Players submitted their systems, then the host would run all player systems using the same numbers and bankroll.  Then post the results of each.

Does anyone do that here?

That sounds like a wicked idea.

I really like it!!  :)

Sure it is a wicked idea and altogether a waist of time.
Does it mean playing a permanence before hand with a mechanical play?. A blind competition?
Well, maybe those who believe bet selection doesnt give an edge could take a chance at it.
The winner should be one with lesser losses at the end of the
contest.

Cheers,
Carlos.

What about a live challenge in the chat room ?

Quoterun all player systems

That would be time consuming, most of the systems/methods would be dumped before a thourough test, if it was me anyway as I have personally coded +100's to test, and I am still doing it if anything catches my eye, nothing wins long term yet!!

By long term I mean to be in a position to just let it run, none of those "I've been winning with this for months" OR hit n run methods, which are still running on luck and continually morph as failure is found, with a bot they all fall flat within a few minutes, some however, do remarkably well, the MATRIX methods do well for a long time just not well enough for long term battle, the gaps between losses are strong BUT at some point they do collapse.

So, for users to post methods they want tested, post them, but theres no guarantee they will ever get coded and I doubt there's anyone on the forum who has a method we havent yet seen, cant wait for the pattern breaker from Fender, will it break randoms patter or will it break, that's if its worth coding for long term tests.
There's only one way forward, follow random, don't fight with it!

Ignore a thread/topic that mentions 'stop loss', 'virtual loss' and also when a list is provided of a progression, mechanical does NOT work!

Actually if you wanted to have a "fun" challenge instead of the life or death matches that you all envision, just make it up like this....

You've just been dumped by your significant other at the casino as they've run off with the hat check girl.

Your tour bus doesn't leave for another hour.

How much can you make in that hour, with the $500 she left you, to make up for the pain and suffering of being dumped?

This way anybody can play any "system" they believe will hold up for an hour!

Nothing scientific here.  No Holy Grail system play (unless you have it) and it's more "real world" that most other tests out there!

Everyone knows that no system wins all the time, but which one wins the most consistantly over time? Then try to top it. That's all the competition would be designed to do.

I have hosted as well as participated in two of such competitions in old vls site. From that very roulette challenge, Victor invited me to join this forum. Carpanta was also a part of that event. We can do it here too, if Victor or Paul himself moderate that.

I surely wouldnt miss to witness this,as some guys here really have great system. But i bet most will be playing Matrices..not much fun it will be :).

Dear Merv....
It doesn't matter which method you play but how much you win within a given timeframe and how much u risk to win that. These competitions can be used as exams. I would recommend doing it through live session of any well known live dealer roulette casino. I can moderate such competition/challenge, if atleast 5 people agree to play it on coming sunday.
