Ok, what follows is a condensed version
of a recent correspondence from a Lady in the Ukraine.

Here is one of them.

And she is almost ready to go.

Hello Thomas!

Thank  you  very  much  for your reply and photo. How is your life? Is
everything ok? I am fine as usual!

Also I have news about my visa. I have received it!!! I am so happy! I
will  come  to Australia very soon. I am going to meet my travel agent
in a couple of days again.

Don't worry, Thomas, I will write you my flight details when I have them!

So,  very  soon  we will meet! I will be very glad to know you in real
life! As I told you, I won't cause any inconveniences for you

It will be the longest vacation I have had Thomas, have you ever had a
very long vacation? Could you be tired of vacation?

I  am  very  happy  to tell my sister about my news because she wasn't
sure  if  I  would  receive the visa. She thought it's very difficult.
Indeed  it's  very difficult but I have travelled enough to be trusted
by the embassy

I  thought  much  about  what I want to do when I come to Australia. I
will  have  good  rest for the first week. It means I will sleep long,
walk  and  see  beautiful  places of your city Of course, I will be
very glad if you join me when you have free time.

Well,  I  think I have many things to do now! I need to find out about
prices in hotels and I need to decide in which one I will stay. I will
book a room in a nice hotel 3 days before my flight.

Well, now I can tell you: I will come next weekend! I will buy tickets
for  next  weekend (Saturday or Sunday). Of course, may be for earlier
date if I am able to finish my work sooner. My sister will send me the
money soon and then I will buy tickets and tell you everything

good.

I discused with my sister about the way I can receive the money for my
trip  to Australia. And we have some problem with that. The problem is
that  my  sister and her husband are in the ocean abroad now, on their
scientific  ship  and  because  of  that  we have problem with sending
money. They don't have a phone there.

My  sister  can't  send  me  money  by  Western Union or by Money Gram
because her bank account even doesn't have such function.

She said she can transfer money only into the Australian banks. I mean
only  within  Australia because my sister and her husband are citizens
of Australia and they have their bank account in Australian bank. They
can't transfer the money abroad.

I  need  to  ask  you  something...  Can you receive the money from my
sister?  She  can send money to you for me and then you can receive it
and send it to me very fast. I need this money very much!

If  you  agree,  my sister will send money to you for me. But she need
some information to make the transfer:

I found her to be very attractive.

Almost fell for it.
But it when she asked for my bank details that my radar went to RED.
I have posted many email scams from dubious countries.
Mostly Nigeria. But these lovely ladies must work for the Russian mafia.
As I have not had a legitimate offer yet.

I know I can be a little gullible at times.
But I know when someone is trying to pull the wool over my eyes.
Seen to many red flags that have got my ears hot and bothered.

I've had these emails ALL from pretty ladies. Not one Munter amongst them LoL


If you go on places like Myspace and set up an account you will get hit after hit from pretty ladies wanting you

One time I played along and in the end they wanted money (sigh) and I gave them my phone numbers, but it wasn't my number it was the number for our local Police Station LoL


One time, I was feelin so bored I had to point out to this "lady" how obvious it was to me that this was a con

I wrote back a very long reply pointing out all the ares they need to improve on if they wanted to snare me
A guy replied and called me a "son of a gun" and said he had never been sussed before

Made my day that he took time to say fair enough you got me

And finally the best on ever. Do you watch Home and Away ?

Well onetime on Myspace I got a very nice message from a stunning woman. Usually I don't reply but had to on this occasion LoL they had used a default photo of the actress who used to play Danni in Home and Away

2 days later the account was deleted. Bless them LoL



Basically if you EVER get hit on, and I must stress THEY HIT ON YOU, by a stunning woman who then wants money and or personal bank details just jog on or if your bored play them at their own game and phuck around with them

Mostly I never replied. Only when I was bored. Oh and they are ALWAYS from another country !!!

Yeah Thomas those Russian/Ukrainian dating scams have been around for fair while now.
Good to know that you didn't get burnt.

If someone like her approaches you ever, ask her for a video chat and record the conversation first. If someone is talking of or asking for your account no., it could be an attempt to hack that account. If you have recorded a video chat with her, give her an account which is almost empty now and likely to be like that in future too. If a third person deposits with your account, you can not be held guilty for anything and since your account is empty she cannot get any benefit out of it.
