Hi,

Just a warning to everyone that I've found Casino Spyware on my computer after playing live roulette on Betfair.

It's called 'iesnare' - only found it by searching 'hidden files and folders' as it imbeds itself in with the flash drive so avoiding the usual filters.

Once it is on your machine, it feeds back data - lots of data, about lots of things - to a central hub, and continues to monitor your machine's - and therefore your - activity in real time for the duration of its existence on the device.

These are folder names to keep an eye out for on your machine:

•#mpsnare.iesnare.com
•#ci-mpsnare.iovation.com
•mpsnare.iesnare.com
•ci-mpsnare.iovation.com

This may not affect roulette players directly as the software is mainly used against the horseracing punters who play bookmakers off against each other by arbing their bets - but nobody likes being spied on!

I search and delete after each session on Betfair now - every time I log back in it re-appears.

This may be old news but worth mentioning again anyway.

Regards

Nick

Hi how can it be deleted

Most operating systems have a 'Search' tool.

Enter 'iesnare' and make sure you tick 'search hidden files and folders'.

If it finds the files you can click and delete them - remember to also empty your recycle bin.

There is a way to block these but it is very detailed so I just make sure I find and delete them after each visit.
