Lord, help me to break even.  I need the money!

In other words, shoot to break even and the winning will take care of itself.

There were many times I have left the casino (after 10 hours) breaking even and I felt pretty good. Sounds odd, I know.

Not odd at all, breaking even ALWAYS feels good, whereas ending up -ve always feels bad.
