I just recently started using random.org for my testing and I'm wondering - how much different is it from the RNGs used in online casinos? I know it uses a completely different mechanism for generating the numbers, but can this affect the game?

I'd love hear some opinions.

Pick any system and try it on both. You should get aproximatly the same results after some million spins. Millions or billions of spins, will depend on the system you pick (e.g. a system that waits for a trigger that appears on average 1 in 100 spins, will take 100X more spins to reveal it's true form).

In the very long run (more than 10k spins), the frequency statistics for both would look the same.

But in the short run (say, 50 or 100 spins), they would show different behaviors.
