In the @turbo thread I posted a simple procedure for testing repeaters, which I have copied here :

2. When you make the bet as instructed in (1) place another bet on a single number selected at random.
3. Continue to place more bets on numbers which repeat, and everytime you do this select another number at random and bet on it too.
4. When you get a win, stop.
5. Repeat steps 1-4 several dozen times (at least), then compare data from both groups.

So you have a "control group" (betting random numbers) which is betting in tandem with the "treatment group" (betting repeats). The only difference between the 2 systems is the numbers you're betting on (the amount of numbers you bet on is the same in both). You could also use a progression if you like, but it must be exactly the same for both systems.

This is a basic requirement for good experimental design; everything must stay the same for both "experiments" except for the one attribute of interest (in this case the bet selection). The hypothesis is that betting on repeats are better, but better than what? In this case the experiment is trying to find out whether it's better than betting randomly. So if the results show that you win more often when betting on repeats you can be sure that it's actually betting on the repeats which makes the difference and not something else like the amount of numbers or the money management, because these are the same in the control group. But if there is no significant difference it shows picking the repeats has no effect; you might as well pick any random numbers.

All this might seem obvious but hardly anyone seems to do a proper test like this for bet selections. 

So here is some software which will make the testing easier. You are asked for the starting bank when you start it. There are 2 banks, one for repeaters (Rep Bank) and another for betting randomly (Ran Bank). Each time you bet on repeaters (as selected in from the bet selection checkboxes) some random numbers are generated, and these are listed under the RNB list (Random Numbers Bet). The number of random numbers bet is always equal to the number of repeaters bet which ensures a fair comparison. The repeaters are listed in order of most hit in the FREQ list which you can use to select which numbers to bet on, in terms of the number of repeats. When bets are due, the numbers to bet are highlighted in green on the layout. You can reset the numbers at any time, so if you want to test 37 spin cycles you can just click the Reset #s button after 37 spins and the numbers will be cleared (but the banks and Results will not be). The number coloured blue to the right of the zero is the spin counter.

In the Results box are shown the number of wins for betting repeaters (Rep. Wins) and randomly (Ran. Wins). Also given is the Chi-square value which tells you whether the results are significant. This is updated only after the minimum number of wins is 40 (for statistical reasons). The chi value has to be at least 4.0 for a significant result and is marked (S), otherwise it's marked (NS).

I should have added that these are the repeater bets only. The random bets are only listed under "RNB".

P.S. I may add some options for progressions later so you can use the software as a full betting tool not just a way to track and test repeater systems.

It gets a clean bill of health. Just be aware that this may not always be the case with all software because there are "false positives" sometimes, but as long as the vast majority of anti-virus programs give a "pass", you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Comparing a random number selection against a selection through repeaters or any other method, is a great way to do away with the fallacy of using triggers or set conditions to decide on bet selection. Awesome Joe.  :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

RFMAXX, I think you might have missed the point here; if you could choose the RNB yourself they would no longer be random. The idea is to get the computer to select them "randomly", which it's much better at doing than a person. If a human being tried to do it it's very likely s/he would be biased.

This would be fine to test Turbo's methods if you knew the exact way that he plays.  It may not be as simple as repeats the way people think. 

Here is a small sample of a Turboesque way of doing things that there is no way that this test can compare.  Apples and Oranges.  Both are round, (both are repeating methods)  but both are vastly different.

All of the above are good points.

Also, you must mention Turbo's novel use of the term "past spins."

For Turbo and his minions, past spins are those that came up BEFORE they sat down at the table.

Once they sit down at the table, the numbers that keep appearing are no longer  PAST numbers -- but they are all part of the Present.

Something magical happens ...... the moment you sit down at the roulette table and then the numbers start to roll in.  The PAST just vanishes !

Here is a modified version of the program which is actually simpler in some ways but more flexible. I've removed the repeats check boxes, now all you need to do is click a number in the # column to bet on it. You can still bet repeats but now also any numbers, based on the freq of hits information. You could even bet on cold numbers if you like, e.g. all numbers which haven't hit after 37 spins. The FREQ list is now sorted by increasing order of hits and I've added a label which tells you how many numbers you're betting on. There is also a Save Selection check box which saves you having to click on the same numbers every time when you repeat a bet.
