thanks a lot for the Fripper topic.
Very interesting,but a bit disappointing.
I didn't read all 23 pages ,but the conclusion is:the method,based on a very strong idea(65/135) is not playable!
Your "pillow" idea is very clever,and I hope it solves partially the problem.
Very clear your explanation about the numbers of the three sections.
1,0,2 is too conservative.I think that you had already considered that and 1,0,5 is the best compromise.Maybe ten terms per section instead of five.
Honestly speaking I'm afraid that putting a certain amount of Zeros at the left of your string generates a long agony:we'll be dead a bit later.
The result of a Labby(as most of methodes) depends on the ORDER of W and L:I call it "the variance",the worst ennemy for a player,more than a big deviation.
That why is very complicated to find a system that win all the sessions and it's even worst to find a system that lose all the sessions.
Our job of "researchers" is very hard.
I hope that our common efforts could help all the members,even if I have given up all violent progressions(Labby included)for several years.
But your idea  of three sections is so interesting.......

Our job as researchers is indeed very hard.

No matter what progression idea we use, we will always have the same dilemma.  If we don't reach a positive balance within a reasonable number of bets, our bet size will be larger and if we then go into a heavy loss stretch, our bet size shoots up and up. 

If we can have 20+ Reds or Blacks or whatever in a row, it means we can be betting on the wrong side and have 20+ losses either at the beginning of our attack, in the middle or at the end.

I think, with wisdom, any reasonable progression, if persisted in, results in at worse a -2.7 % loss.  Given an infinitely large bankroll. 

So, all we have to do is set parameters that prevent us from reaching the table limit or the end of our bankroll and no matter what the progression, we will be no worse off than a flat bet.  Is this not true, my dear colleagues?

I mention table limit, but we must remember that there are high-roller tables that we can migrate to if we reach the table limit we're playing at.  Of course that requires a hefty bank roll.

Requested wins 8, units to win : 30.
It’s consisted of 3 sectors : At the right side is the HEAVY sector with the’’ basic’’ amount of  betting (5 units), at the left side is the LIGHT sector with 1/5 of the amount of the HEAVY Sector, in order to  help to rise up  softly the bets after loses and in the middle sector is the what I call PILLOW, because it will help us in the end to   surpass the problem of the high bets at the last part of betting. I’ll explain how it works.

The system works like HP JOHNSON system, which means that we bet the sum of the right and the left figure. If we win we cross of the 2 figures.
The second modification I do is  that in case of lose we spread  the amount in the below  way:
We start adding one unit from the right side of the HEAVY sector (from right to left) when we complete it we continue with the left side of the LIGHT sector (from left to right) and when we complete it we continue with the PILLOW from left to right. I write below the succession with which we fill ,  the starting point with the nr.1 continue 2,3,.....until  nr.15.  The objective is always keeping the pillow low.

Let’s start with a series of some consecutive loses to see how it works.

Let’s take a break to see how’s our string after 6 consecutive losses.
Our max bet now is 19 units and look at the pillow how low are the figures. The oblective is keeping the pillow low in order, when we start winning and crossing off the right and left sectors, the remaining sector (PILLOW) to be as much as low.


After 6 lose let’s make a win and cross off the first and last.

So after 8 loses and 5 wins L-L-L-L-L-L-W-L-W-W-L-W-W , we have the above string left. The PILLOW sectror  has been left.
Now we look at the pillow. We add the units left and they are 26.
Now if you remember we request 8 wins to end the session and 30 units to win. .
The pillow shows us where we are. If the adding numbers of the pillow are less than 30 we have won and no need to continue to hit 8 wins as we have already won 30-26=4 units. We stop session or continue betting 10 units, whatever we want. I always stop when I reach the PILLOW and I’m +1 unit plus.

Hi all

I was looking at this post from 2014. It’s from a member called Huskerdu. The post describes a money management system which is loosely based on the Labouchere method. - The HP Johnson method.

Huskerdu has actually made his own modification to the HP Johnson method. He has built in some safety features to handle increased progressions for longer losing streaks.

He has provided a fairly detailed description, the problem is I can’t follow it properly, I keep getting lost. It’s quite  confusing....

Is someone able to explain this a bit better?

If I can understand it properly, then I can go away and reproduce it graphically. I work in multimedia, so I can maybe even make a small ‘explainer’ animation.

Check it out. If someone can explain it better it would be appreciated.

The year of birth of this Huskerdu system is 2014, but even today it remains very current and brilliant: brilliant, like its Author. Nonetheless, I agree with Jono 1167 that this system deserves not only a clearer and more detailed exposure, step by step, but also the creation of a software that faithfully follows the various steps, in order to avoid errors or oversights. Thus, the system could be understood and appreciated, as it deserves, even by newcomers to the game of Roulette, including myself. Personally, I know a good programmer from Catania, my friend, to whom I could entrust the task of creating the software in question. I really hope that Huskerdu, to whom my compliments go, will want to resume the discussion on this system, and finally expose it with simplicity and in a more analytical way. Thank you for your attention.

 It a record, that worst ever straight number, in roulette, Zumma no.3 has won only hit 329 times in 15000 spins.
(a hit rate of only 45.59 spins)

Thus if you could do a 35block of 329, in 329x2 of the said HP Johnson, then ,you could at least win 1u, before the last no3 hit...

eg.
last block,

34zero and a 1

and the other have 35 zero
{0000....0000}

whenever a no3 hit, strike out the whole left side ,single block....and the other right side block

thus 329x2=658block.

if you cant understand,
in simple explanation,

657zero+1.
(000000......01)
every zero digit represent a block of 35zero


{00000..0000}

and the last digit (1) represent,
last far right side block, has
34zero and a single 1.

when lose first bet, 1u, add a 1.

and so on..
if you lose 34spins in a row,

then first block has 35digit of 1.
