WHAT DOES "HIT'N'RUN?" MEAN TO YOU ?

Bayes

HIT AND RUN -  A fallacious concept invented by gamblers who believe that if they break their gambling sessions up into shorter numbers of spins so that they leave the table after a small (usually predetermined) number of wins or losses, then this will enable them to avoid long losing streaks and so gain an advantage or counteract the compounding effect of the house edge. The thinking underlying this belief is that a larger number of shorter sessions does not add up to a smaller number of longer sessions, which is logically untenable. The concept might be valid if the gambler were to pick and choose his entry and exit points based on some other criteria, but this isn't usually the case; the claim is that  players who leave the table more often than others will, by virtue of that alone (ie; all else being equal) be playing in a superior way.

Skakus

I sometimes play hit and run.

This is when I am at the casino eating dinner with my wife. I will ask to be excused from the table to visit the bathroom and on the way I will dash over to a roulette table that is out of her view, place a bet or two, then win or lose quickly go to the loo and return to dinner: Hit and run.

Bayes' is better.
A ship moored in the harbour is safe, but that's not what ships are made for.

Yours is cheat and fun, Skakus. Don't mess things up. Lol.

I agree with Bayes about there must be another criteria to play hit and run and make it profitable.
It should have to do with chasing a target/event, when achieved (hit) then run till conditions again apply  to chase that target.
For those mastering Kimo Li's strategies rather play SKIP AND RUN, it's an upgrade of hit and run.

Cheers,
Carlos.
