The only way to beat roulette is by increasing accuracy of predictions (changing the odds). This is possible on many real wheels.

GLC, i think this method is interesting specially in double dozens bets. In this case, what is your sugested bankroll?, and stop-loss?

Thanks

I think a 200 unit bank is adequate.  A 50 unit win target may too high for some, but you can adjust that to suit yourself.
In my case it doesn't matter.  I'm both!

Been working on this.  One question:  How do you know when to stop?  Do you set a win goal?

Sam,  I usually stop at +25 in my testings.   You start out shooting for +1 on each attack.  You are risking your buy-in to win +1 unit.   Play as long as you want because each attack is do or die, so to speak.

Well, that's not completely true.  Remember there are a couple of signals to end an attack before you lose your whole buy-in or reach +1.

It is rare for the bet amount to reach the count but when it does, you have to either take the loss and re-start at 1 or drop back a reasonable number of units to give yourself another chance to reach +1.  Any time the bet size reaches the count, you drop back.  If you're +1 drop back all the way.  If you're -6 drop back all the way to 1.  If you're -16, drop back to 3 or 4 or maybe 5.  But remember to drop back on your count also so if you continue with a bad run your bet will have a realistic chance to reach your count before you go so deep in the hole that you don't have enough chips to keep playing.

As you can see there are some conscious decisions we have to make as we play.  Just like with Vile's life bet, you don't have to play with a rigid set of rules for every decision.  This is something a bot robs us of, the ability to tweak how we play as we go along.  And I'm sure you're aware that those little tweaks can mean the difference between winning and losing.

It's like when I play 9-ball.  When I'm in a match, as it proceeds, I adjust the way I play to fit the situation.  I have to know the game of 9-ball better than my opponent to beat him.  We both probably shoot on about the same skill level, it's the head knowledge that determines who wins in the long run.

By head knowledge, I include "know thyself" as premiere.  If your muscles get tense and your breath gets choppy when you're playing for too much money, you're a cooked goose.  Your decisions start getting iffy, and your stroke starts sliding a little etc....

Is this what you call "bloviating......?"

No, no bloviation there!  Just good advice.

I'm studying it.

Thinking of using my DPD idea and this for a progression.

I'm going to change the trigger to move to advanced play 1 back to the original way.  Instead of going to Advance play 1 after the count reaches 6, we will do like the author says and go to advanced Play 1 when the count minus the bet size = 6.  I know the original said 5 but we don't want to cut basic play too short.  That means we will have to have something like this:
-1    2    -1
-1    3    -2
+1         -1
-2    4    -3
-2    5    -5
+2         -3
-3    6    -6  here's where I previously had you moving to adv 1
-3    7    -9
-3    8    -12
-3    9    -15  here's where we go to adv 1 now because 9-3=6
+3         -12
+5         -7
-7    10  -14
+7         -7
+9         +2

After we're in advanced play 1, we move to advanced play 2 when the count reaches 12. No changes there.

In my case it doesn't matter.  I'm both!

I am locking this topic because I have started another one similar to this at this link:
