Yes, how is everyone going is virtually the same as asking How is everyone doin.....in this context

In today's modern usage of the English language, those phrases are quite often given new means.

Hence, doing, going, being, living, feeling, and many others,
are truly intended to enquire(ask) about the current (or just pass) status of your Physical/Emotional/Location .

Here's one from my local dialect>>

Means- How are u, and what are you currently doing in your life?

I know the Russians have sent probes there.
The funny thing about these conspiracy theorys is.
That they never question what the Russians did.
First man in space.
First EVA.
First Dog/Dogs in space.
First probe in space (Sputnik)

The reason I am sure they went to the Moon is because there is still an experiment running from the Appolo Missions.

Every day a Laser Beam hits the surface of the Moon. The Target ? Laser Reflectors (or the sort)
The reason for this is to see how far the Moon has moved out of its Orbit amongst other things

(The Moon moves approx 2cm away from Earth every year)

So thats my current opinion, now to watch the Movie !
