Odds and payouts are different things. If either the odds or payouts don't change, then the result is the same - eventual loss.

A nice offer I had at Castle Casino.com

I have not asked what the wagering id for this offer, but those who are interested should
email Castle Casino admin/sales, and enquire.

check the wagering requirements. It may be not as nice as it seems. Remember, by offering bonuses casinos like to drag you into their games. They are not interested to let you win, but rather lose or being unable to withdraw your winnings which is very similar basically.

Good point well made iggiv   ;)................so I had a chat with Castle Casino support.

Their support manager Tom King, was most helpful.
Here is a copy of some of my chat with him.

Quote
Tom King:
The wagering requirements would be 38 x
(deposit + bonus)

Tom King:
Of course, you can copy this URL for more

information as well: link:s://ww…ons/wagering-
requirements

Tom King:
Actually there are other casinos with 48x and
even 58x.

38x is kinda standard nowadays.

Tom King:
Then I'm sure you'll agree that 38x is not that
high compared to others. :)

And you can also include 'Tom150' for their first

deposit bonus code (150% instead of 100%)

Here's one more page

Soooo...its 38 x deposit + bonus, play through before withdrawing any winnings.
cheers

Hold the phone - x 38 bonus playthrough is just part of it. Just had a quick browse of Castles T & Cs. Bonus valid for 21 days only. Not countered for playthrough are any outside bets, 1 : 1  &  2 : 1.   25 or more inside numbers are not valid. Simulataneous bets not counted eg Red & Black. Any larger wins paid as installments of $2,500GBP. Allow 5 -15 business days. Higher amounts will be paid over several weeks.

There's a lot of hoops to jump through with Castle on this. It's obvious with the payouts that they use current play earnings to pay for previous winners due amounts.

It reinforces the view that bonuses are not worth the effort. Castle is a poor option (poor cousin operator) when compared to other live dealer casinos ( reasonably prompt payouts on non bonus play). eg Dublinbet, Smart Live, Party Casino.

consider the following. Bonuses are not a way to help u, but rather cleverly calculated way to make u lose. So there could be lots of tricky things included. Many bets may not be included in your wager requirements. That's one thing.
Another thing if you complete your wager requirements...you can always be declared a "bonus abuser". And your  winnings may be nullified together with the bonus.
Remember, casinos very well understand this. Let's say you get a bonus. And play with your bonus money randomly. What happens? you overcome the house edge. Because now let's say you have chances of 50% minus house edge to win (or 50% plus house edge -- to lose), but this is NOT YOUR MONEY, this is a bonus. So after a while you have a good chance to complete your wager requirements and stay with the bonus minus house edge. So let's say you had 300 dollars bonus, minus house edge this is roughly 290 bucks for one zero roulette. You made this money  out of nothing. Now imagine everyone comes getting and playing with bonuses just like this. What would happen? casino will go bankrupt after a while. So how can it be true?
