Less numbers the better

Playing a warming or hot trend usually always trumps waiting on a sleeper

Have sufficient bankroll to see it thru... but know when to cut your losses and live to play another day

Play on real wheels

Hammer - add in another idea. Shadow a loser & bet the opposite, which should make you a winner ? As usual sounds good in theory.

Im liking warm numbers. Theres only one thing that will repeat twice and thats something that already hit once. Also....ive never seen a number stay cold for 400 spins...hit once...then nod off again for 400.
Its a nice place to start.

Lately im not much around here or in others forums. There was a time I went almost nuts seeking a system to beat roulette. Now i know better. Such system doesn't exist.
Systems go against the self nature of chance. They tend to be mechanic, with rigid rules and scary progressions sometimes. They tank when stubbornly struggle against the dinamics of chance.
You've done the 1 million question:

So,whats the way to go.

Answer it and every time you go to play roulette you'll leave front door as a winner.
There is no easy solution to this dilema.
Try something as dinamic as chance behavior. Learn about the "when" and "how" chance produce the events you want to play on.
Chance is due to produce  three of these states: dispersion, equilibrium or concentration of events.
Calculate it. The "when" has to do with tendency of the event. The "how" has to do with rhythm of the event.
So frecuency and rhythm are clues to solve the issue.
Master the number distribution on the wheel and observe how it is doing.
This way you'll be paying special attention to the physics of the game.

I'm not a roulette guru. Just a humble player who took the trouble to face the game with a different mindset.
