VLS will continue to make bold promises, and will continue to solicit money through payment or donation to fund such promises, and they will ALL continue to fall by the wayside one by one never to see the light of day. I can say this because past behaviour is a good indicator of future behaviour.

Hey, a while back Vic was crying poor again so I coughed up $50 as a gesture of good will for his family, and asked nothing in return. Absolutely no regrets there as I did the noble thing.

A very grateful Vic responded kindly and assured me unlimited subscription to all the betselection features and software for 12 months.

Nice, I thought.

Well I clicked on the software links for a month or so, and continued to get messages saying I was not authorised and needed to subscribe with payment, etc.

Guess what? Nothing, zero, nada, duck egg, zilch. Not that I cared for the stuff as I wouldn't use it anyway, but that's not the point.

Just another unfruitful promise is the point. He didn't even need to make the promise.


It was very dissapointing so I deleted my Marshall Bing Bell account and removed all my posts from betselection, on principal.

... oh, they were happy about that! LOL!

I continue to work on it after hours. On my own, no problemo; only thing is it's pace is slower as my past-midnight coding isn't as sharp as the daytime one. It is physically demanding to code at those hours.

I'm confident there'll come the time when the snowball is rolling at a sufficient size to make all these hours of effort worth (otherwise I wouldn't be committed!).

As it gets said by the releases, now it's time for action; I have a vision on how the software and the server-side must go hand-in-hand. I'll continue to code my vision, one line at a time.

I am as grateful for it as in the original moment and I stand for the 12-months. Kindly shoot me a PM with your new username to add you immediately, starting the 12 months from now.

I got the impression you had other reasons to remove your account; manually removing your posts took enough time, if the reason was really 100% because you weren't getting a download, you should have "pinged" me first. You know I'm open. Sadly, once the account is gone from the database, it's gone; yet the offer made out in gratitude still stand.

Hey Ken, no offense taken on my side; it is a legitimate complaint since I did offer the complimentary membership as a thank you. I do remember having a list of people's names to add; since there were several usernames associated to the real name chances are I just messed (which just a "píng" would have sufficed to relocate or correct).

...I usually attend forum's duties at the most crazy hours after I'm done with local work. Plenty of times in "zombie mode"

Any case, we're still here and as long as we're around and can communicate, there is a chance to mend, to make things right. Good thing is even if we can get a bit carried away when posting (I'm guilty of that too!), we are mature enough go back to normal mode and resume talks in a regular manner.

It is all an expected part of human interaction, so no biggie for me
