I haven't posted any progression ideas for a while because I thought they had all been thought of and posted but I was wrong.

This progression idea is based on betting even chance bets in sets of 10 bets.  I like working with e.c.'s because the progression can be used playing a variety of games in the casino.

Here's a verbal description.  If you win 0, 1, 2 or 3 times out of the 10 bet set, your next set will be at the same bet size.  So no movement in bet size for the next set.

If you win 4, 5 or 6 times out of the 10 bet set, your next set will be +1 unit to this bet size.  So we increase our bet size by 1 unit.

If you win 7 or 8 times out of the 10 bet set, your next set will be -1 unit from this bet size.  So we decrease our bet size by 1 unit.

If you win 9 or 10 times out of the 10 bet set, your next set will be -2 units from this bet size.  So we decrease our bet size by 2 units.

You can either play until you hit your win target or you can reset any time you reach a new overall profit.

Here's my logic.  If we only win 3 or less times then we're not winning at a high enough rate to make any moves in bet size so stay put.

If we are winning around break even, 4,5,6 then we can use a positive progression of +1 to recover most previous lost bets.

If we are winning at a good win rate of 7 or 8 we have recovered a good chunk of our losses and can reduce our bet size by 1 unit.  This helps keep from just climbing and climbing.

If we are winning at an excellent win rate of 9 or 10 we should be very close to break even and can risk dropping back -2 units on our bet sizes.

To restate, if we're not doing so well, why increase our bet size.  But if we're doing average, it's worth a little risk to recover slowly and if we're doing well then no need to keep our bet sizes increasing and run the risk of a really bad losing stretch.  And finally, if we're doing outstandingly well, we should be getting close to a new profit and can drop our bet sizes back more aggressively.

I've tried this a little with good results so far.

It can be adapted to dozens, lines etc... although it seems to work best with even chances, but that's just an initial observation.  If it works well with one bet location, it should work well with all of them.  We just have to decide where to put the breaks.

I've thought about it with splits and straight up numbers and they don't seem to fit well with the concept.

All thoughts, suggestions and even criticisms are very welcome.

Betting 3 DS as an EC bet, 1 line from each dozen. Bet 10 times and see if up or down

Here are some numbers you can use for the Dozens, Lines, Streets and even the Double Dozens.

I'm going to reduce this to 6 spin sets on even chances.  But you can use any length set you like, just adjust the numbers to represent the right percentages.

  0*               +1              -1              -2
0 1 2              3 4              5               6

Dozens use a 9 spin sets

   0              +1              -1             -2
0 1 2          3 4 5            6 7           8 9

Lines us an 18 spin set

   0              +1              -1            -2
0 1 2          3 4 5             6            7 -18

Streets us a 36 spin set

   0               +1              -1            -2
0 1 2          3 4 5              6            7-36

Double Dozens us a 10 spin set

   0               +1              -1            -2
1 - 6             7 8              9             10

These are all I've worked on.  5 Line bets, 11 street bets, 16 split bets and 35 number bets get way too crazy.  Not impossible, but they just don't seem playable.

The above post has been changed.  I eliminated the -2 category since I don't think it will come up often enough to be useful.  I also enlarged the +1 category.  What this does is make the heart of this system an Oscar's Grind with modifications on both ends.  One the left end we don't increase our bet by +1 if we have had a lot of losses.  On the right end, we don't drop back -2 because this could get us to a unit size that would require a lot of wins still to recover.  Everything is still dependent on the number of losses vs wins.  A very low hit rate defeats everything including a flat bet.

Please note that you can create the chart based on plus or minus amounts after 10 spins instead of counting wins and losses.

For example if we take the even chance chart and convert it to plus/minus we get the following.

      0           +1          -1
-6 -4 -2    0 +2 +4    +6

So, if we end our 6 bet set at -6, -4 or -2, we keep our bets at the same amount.  If we end our 6 bet set at 0, +2 or +4, we increase our bet size by +1 unit.  If we end our bet set at +6, we reduce our units size by -1 unit for the next set.
