This is a result of thinking too long on playing the GLAT progression for double dozens.

We'll be betting 5 lines each bet so use your best selection process.

When we start a new session or reach a new high bank we always start a new attack with 1 unit on each of the 5 lines.

Here's our chart:

W = +1  end attack.  If at new profit, start new attack at 1 unit.  If not at new profit, start new attack at same bet size.

LL = -10 end attack.  Increase bet size by 3 units on all 5 Lines on new attack.

LWL  =  -9  end attack.  Increase by 3 on new attack.

LWWL  =  -8  end attack.  Increase by 3 on new attack.

LWWWL  =  -7  end attack.  Increase by 2 on new attack.

LWWWWL  =  -6 end attack.  Increase by 2 on new attack.

LWWWWWL  =  -5  end attack.  Increase by 2 on new attack.

LWWWWWWL  =  -4  end attack.  Increase by 1 on new attack.

LWWWWWWWL  =  -3  end attack.  Increase by 1 on new attack.

LWWWWWWWWL  =  -2  end attack.  Start new attack at same bet amount.

LWWWWWWWWWL  =  -1 end attack.  Start new attack at same bet amount.

LWWWWWWWWWWL  =  0  end attack.  Start new attack at same bet amount.

We can play per above with good results.  It means we will never decrease our bet size until we reach a new high bank balance.  This can result in some pretty decent draw downs.

For a little less volatility consider the following:

Anytime we're betting more than 1 unit on each line and we start a new attack, if we start with Wins, we reduce our bet size by 1 unit after 5 wins.  Then if we continue to win, we reduce our bet size by 1 unit after 4 more wins.  Then if we continue to win, we reduce our bet size by 1 unit after only 3 more wins.  Then after only 2 more wins.  Then after only 1 win.  If we're still in a beautiful win streak we start over by reducing our bet size by 1 unit after 5 more wins, then 4, then 3 etc...

I throw the above idea into the mix because sometimes we can have a lot of wins in a row which is sweet.  That's what we want with every system.  But we don't want to erode our recovery power too quickly but we do want to get our bets back down at a reasonable rate so we don't go into another losing pattern with our bets too big to start.

This is always the challenge in progressions like this.  The higher our bets  when we enter a winning run, the quicker we recover losses.  Hopefully before we enter another losing pattern.  But if we don't fully recover and we're betting the maximum level we've reached, when a new losing pattern hits, we escalate right back up quickly.

The challenge is to recover as much as possible and get our bet size down as much as possible so that if we enter a losing pattern before we fully recover, we won't be betting so much that it re-escalates our losses too quickly.

For those of you who like to bet 5 Lines, give this a test run and see how you like it.

We're always open to any suggestions.  And no suggestion is a dumb suggestion.  Well maybe some are, but I promise not to say it!

Well, George, that's easy enough to keep track of while betting.  I would suggest tossing a die (dice?) and what ever number comes up--that's the line you leave open.  Random must follow random.  Actually a good method of selection.

I may have to give this a whirl down at Riverwind.  I have three new things to try out.  Must get to casino more often.

Would you stick on the same 5 DS or leave a different DS open every bet? It would hurt if the DS you werent on repeated 5 times in a row, which ive seen happen. Perhaps switching the one u leave open should always change

OK

guys, I just tested this on test my strategy several times in 1,000 spin increments

results are: max losses in a row is 4. I left the same DS open on every spin (19-24)

max loss in a ROW being 4, how can we make this work

Edit:   Oops!  I made a post and realized it was in relation to double dozens rather than lines.  You understand, right Sam?

The following is a tweak that I think makes the progression much safer by keeping the bet sizes lower overall.

LL = -10 end attack.  Increase bet size by 2 units on all 5 Lines on new attack.

LWWWL  =  -7  end attack.  Increase by 1 on new attack.

LWWWWL  =  -6 end attack.  Increase by 1 on new attack.

LWWWWW  =  0  end attack.  Start new attack at same bet size.

Note that if we get LWWWWW we stop without the ending L because we have fully recovered the previous loss.

George

Whenever you have LWWW, you go up one unit.  Why not let that start a new attack?  No real time to think on this here in Oklahoma as I  have too many irons in the fire as it is.  Don't want any "Oops" posts!

Or maybe even LWWWW which is up two.  Oops, I'm still thinking!!

Please disregard my above post.  I see my mistake.

I think this is one of the more interesting things I've seen in a while--perhaps two whiles!  I am going to the casino on Thursday and will try it out.

Well, I've been disregarding my suggestion that testing is a waste of time.  I've tested this system to +25 for 10 sessions.  One session had a draw down of -80, one session had a draw down of -250 and one had a draw down of -310.  The other seven sessions had a draw down of less than -80.  The 2 worst draw downs still recovered fairly easy, but that was due to a nice streak of wins.

This definitely needs a stop loss or a healthy bank roll.

Thanks GLC.

Did you post any version of this for two dozens bet?

I've looked at double dozens.  Here's the most logical set.

W = +1  start new attack at same bet amount.
LW = -1 start new attack at current bet size +1 unit.
LL = -4  start new attack at current bet size +2 units.

That looks like a basic attack model and I don't think you can improve on it.

You could expand it so that an attack only ends when you get a double Win or a double Loss.

WW =  +2  start new attack at same bet amount.
LL = -4  start new attack at current bet size +3.
WLWW  =  +1  start new attack at same bet amount.
LWW  =  0  start new attack at same bet amount.
LWLL  =  -5  start new attack at current bet size +3 units.
LWLWLL = -6 start new attack at current bet size +4
WLWLWW = 0 see above
WLWLL  = -4  see above
etc...

Thanks! :)

LL           add +2 to both dozens

LWL
LWWL    add +1 to both dozens

W
LWWWL
LWWWWL, etc...   stay at the same bet.

May work if you have a descomunal bankroll. At least 1000 units.

The only aspect that i dont like of this progression is that is NEGATIVE, i prefer positive or mixed ones.

That's what I don't like about it also.  Unfortunately, I can't find a positive progression that does any better. There are just too few opportunities to increase your bet size enough to recover all the small losses.

Descomunal - Nice word
