What is your definition of a Holy Grail, is it winning 100% of the time regardless of amount, is it winning 99/100 sessions and coming out ahead, is it 10 or 100 units a day, regardless.

The holy grail concept should be individual to us all and our circumstances and what we want and require in life. It should also be realistic, but what is realistic 50,100,200 units a day. Your thoughts.

A good system imo should win seven out of eight sessions the first
eight games and have a lifetime hit-rate of +80% (say over 500+ spins)

Grail? A bettor is going to have the 'session from hell' from time to time.
(if you get somewhat close to breaking even that's a good day)

VLS:  A "Grail" should return your investment plus one unit.

Now.........

He never said how often!  Doing that once an hour is great; once a year--not so hot.

Ok so thats what he said, what do you say, 1 unit a hour considered good... really....  :-\

To me the grail is winning 15 units per day consistently.

Yes

Great, well done, i also think i have the grail, for me anyway, just a funny question to ask as to some the grail is what brings down the casino, but why individually do we need to do that, we don't.

If you had the "Grail", that would mean you would never lose.  Is that right or wrong?

If you would never lose, how much would you bet?  What would your unit be?

However, you are correct.  One unit per hour is silly.  Sometimes my reasoning just leaves me.

It's stupid to think in units. A unit size can be anything, and the number of units can be won in a given time, depends on the system. 100 units win for an outside EC bet system is a great achievement, 100 units win on less than 10 number bets is not a big deal.

To me, the HG would be a system that can be played professionally with no other source of income, and without having a risk of going broke or just breaking even long term.

roulette holy grail definition is to have a steady income every month, it doesnt matter if its 1000e or 100e , but it needs to be disclipined , finally if u wake up every morning knowing u ll earn lets say 50e thats the holy grail .  cheers pete

Lol did he, i thought he said 'its stupid to think in units' and i can kinda agree, you play 10p chips and get it to £10 is the same as playing with £1 chips and getting it to £100, difference being, a bigger starting BR needed and bigger balls of steel lol. I find it baffling that people want to start with as low a bet they can all the time, just think if you can turn £10 in to £100, would you rather not turn £100 in to £1000, its the same thing.

CocaVillaLaNoche

For me a holy grail would be a simple system that you can play automatically like a robot without too much thinking and no personal decisions are made.
it must win in the long term with a nice profit and normal drawdowns.

Bu I don't think a system like that exists.

That's easier said than done. :) You can never be sure enough. Last week I won 1500 units, but 1 unit was only 5 cent, so that's not enough to pay the bills. Now I wish I played with 1 euro units instead... But I don't want to risk a bigger roll, every time I did, I lost my sanity and all the money.
