Again, I read of someone advocating the old "jump-in; jump-out" method of betting.     I would like to give you an explanation as to why this will not work.

It naturally assumes you are going to jump in and win and then jump out.     This is not logical or realistic.

All I would like is for someone to tell me what the cure is when you jump in and lose.     Do you never jump in and lose?  Oh, you do.     So you jump in and win a unit for five games then you jump in a lose.     How much do you lose?  How do you know when to quit?  Are you playing a progression?  How long do you stick with it?  How many games must you win to recover?

Hard questions, huh?  Anyone care to take a swing?  (Leave your smoke and mirrors behind.     We've all seen THE WIZARD OF OZ.   )

Hi Sam.
Some of my favourite methods involve jumping in and out of tables.   I might play a dozen or column with a mild progression, like 1-1-1-2 or 1-1-2-3.
I would have to win 3 - 5 or 4 - 7 times for each loss (if I do not vary the initial bet size).   I maybe have been just lucky but it's been quite profitable for me.

This could be two different topics....win and then switch tables OR win and then go home? This topic is one of FEW where I'm in the middle, I see both points.

A) If a method is sound enough, it should not matter if you stay at the same table/casino for 9 hours. Your method is either good or not so good.

*OR*

B) A little thing called the 'bell curve'. When we play (assuming we do not lose our BR in 30 minutes) we will hit a PEAK of NET profit and from there, we will (usually) start to drop off, or head down the peak of the bell. Could end up back at breaking even or worse, go home losing money. The biggest problem? We will not know WHEN that peak hits (time to quit). Like I said, I see BOTH sides of the issue.  Ken
Watch us big doggs, the MEN, play at a REAL casino, on a REAL table. All we ask is that you stay out of our way. The rest? Bots, airball, RNG...that's more for the Kitty Kat Klub. Its the big doggs and the kittens!! Winning is not an event, it's a process and it takes YEARS and YEARS to master > link:://:.eonline.com/eol_images/Entire_Site/2014127/rs_560x415-140227131132-1024.bulldog-kittens3.jpg... To be great, you have to be willing to be mocked, hated and misunderstood.

If your system loses rarely then explain why we cant jump in and out
i mean whats to say we will jump in at the losing streak if our method produce not many losses like fenders 4th game if thats the only thing that can kill alot of money then why cant we jump in and out because the 4th game is rare so whats our chances of jumping in when that 4 losers come in a row?

i dont disagree with your point but if you have a nice method that losess less then it makes perfect sence in hit your target and go

hiya sam,

well imo the jump in and jump out could be more of an emotional stop gap? Humans are emotional creatures. Perhaps the stop loss or jump in an out is more like a limit preventing you from crossing the line and make silly irrational decisions. :D

just my 2 cents worth. of course everyone has a different threshold as well :D

Hi Guys

I totally agree that quitting because you're tired or emotionally unfit is a great idea.  Anger or frustration is counterproductive.

Let's reduce jump-in/jump-out to its simplest form.  I run into the casino and bet on red.  What are my odds of winning?  Same as if I sat and bet 100 times on red.  The limited time spent at the table simply does not/cannot change the odds of red coming.

If you have a system that wins a lot more than it looses, what does that mean?  It wins more money or more times?  There is a big difference.  If it wins a lot more money than it loses, then you can jump, stay, or do as you please.  If it wins a lot more times than it loses, that means you are "due" to lose--sooner or later.

And, sooner or later, you will jump in when the wheel is your enemy and it will clean you out.  It's the "run from hell."

You guys may not like Herb, Spike and #6.  I don't particularly either.  But I have to give them credit where due.  I'd love to see someone prove them wrong!
