I can agree with quite a bit of what was said here. It makes good sense.

The question is how do you find a method or system for betting 1-4 numbers than can pull in those profits fairly consistently? (outside of computers or VB?)

Although, we never know when those big jumps may come... so you could just keep playing. lol

For now you could leave in 10 mins, but the next game you play may be hours and hours before the big jump.

Or you may have two big jumps in a row if keep playing now.

Guess it depends on the amount of time you want to spend playing per session. Get the money and bounce or if you know you are going to play 8 hours this week you could play them all in one day.

The methods I play take a lot of small wins (fairly quick to hit the win though) and sometimes I could definitely see the value of hitting a big win and just going home.

Interesting thing is that we may end up at the table for the same amount of time though.

If it takes you longer to hit the big win by the time you do I may have collected the same amount of profits in small wins.

The speed at which you are able to hit that big win would be an important factor.

I think a dollar amount would be relative to the unit size though right?

I mean with the method I've been a playing a win is typically +2u, if I'm betting $450 per unit I could probably hit $900 and be out in 8 minutes. lol

MrJ, it's prety clearly you like the big jumps and only betting on a handful of numbes. Care to explain how you determine bet selection, what your typical profit targets, and stop losses are, etc.

Thanks for sharing your betting-style. It sure make me think; -I could take anyone of my better methods and play that way and be a winner, charts go up, then down after x number of spins, better quit while you're ahead of the game! But betting with higher chips and playing for real you must have balls of steel!  lol

I guess i don't have the nerves or the balls to play that way :S i enjoy creating and testing systems for fun, as you all know, i don't play for real...Not just yet that is!...

Ignatus, nothing wrong with having a passionate hobby. You share a lot of cool ideas. Roulette started out as a hobby for me until I realized if I'm going to play for fun as a hobby... might was well make some money while doing it! lol
