I joined because I just had to see what they discussed

mainly they bash people who dont believe the earth is flat who come to ask questions

i never really took the bait

i just ask questions that they cant answer

for instance, one guy posted a rocket that "hit the glass firmament that we cannot penetrate"..........this was at like, i dont know, about 80,000 feet.....what ACTUALLY happened was the anti turn mechanism engaged on the rocket to stabalize it

so ok, fine, it hit the glass firmament. whatever. i said the guy was wrong but whatever.

then another guy posted a video from like 150,000 feet saying "look, heres pictures from this height and its a flat earth! so how can the passengers on the concorde at 65,000 feet see a curve?! because of fish eyed windows!!"...............then i said "ok,. but one of your buddies said this rocket hit the firmament, this is substantially higher, so it broke threw it?"

he then got agitated and said i was trolling

i said no sir im not trolling im using your own arguments against you, wheres this firmament the other rocket hit if you are showing my  pictures from edge of space and magically there was no firmament, or is it even higher?

their arguments do not add up

whenever they cannot explain something they jump to "fish eyed lens or glass window"

its such a sad thing to watch.

they think ISS is a spy plane within "our dome".....and show blurry pictures to prove it, when in reality if you zoom in on it it is not

its absurdity

they use photos from 150,000 feet and say look look no curve. then when we show pictures from that height showing a curve they say its fake or a hoax. what makes theirs real? its insane

it comes down to what they say does not add up...if you compile all their claims there are major complications

that being said there are some seriously stupid, unintelligent, border line retarded people who are part of the flat earth movement

one guy said to me "if you fly against the direction of the earth spin shouldnt you get there in half the time"

anyone with a brain knows that the coriolis effect has the earths atmosphere moving with the planets rotation

now a flight will be shorter from NY to the UK then from the UK to NY because from NY to the UK you are flying WITH the jet stream

the arguments some use are.....boldly retarded

but when a flat earthers argument is "if you fly against earth rotation you should get there in half the time", that is serious grounds for dismissal

Flat-earthers are the new Holocaust-deniers.

The goal was never to prove that the Holocaust never happened, but to be part of a group of outsiders......much like punk rock in the 70s.

The flat-earthers are nerds that want to be heard as they are now disappearing into society as the new working class; white collar is the new blue collar.

Claiming something so outside of the mainstream garners a great deal of attention.........something that an invisible class desperately needs to be socially relevant. 



Sometimes, it's just about wanting some good old-fashioned attention!!!

I think you're referring to the disc shaped galaxies. That doesn't mean the universe is flat. From what i understand it branches out all over the place.  That's just what we see but i think there's a lot more

And on the logic of flat earthers, that's just one area. You'll find in many fields the logic and ignorance of people is incomprehensibly bad.

In most cases it's best just let it go and work on your own understanding.  Most people aren't open to learning, or accepting they could be wrong. Im always open for rational debate with people who aren't biased and have an open mind

Even if the subtitles are accurate, it just shows even film-makers can have bad logic.. or that they are involved in disinformation campaigns.
