OK..............

In the "olden" days, people would use a hot brick to either relive pain or keep them warm at night.  I have seen my mother do it more than once.  (We were too poor for me to have a brick.)  Today we use a heating pad or a patch of some sort that gets hot on it's own.

Evelyn, the lady in the film, had a raging toothache.  Her husband, Loak, was a tile man.  Purely by happenstance he was hanging black 4 X 4 ceramic tile.  After hearing of the toothache for days, he decided to make her a small hot spot by splitting a tile and cementing the rough sides together.  This would make a 2 X 4 black object about the size of modern cell phones.

On the day in question, Evelyn was going to the dentist.  In those days going to the dentist was a painful ordeal.  She held the black, hot tile to her face.  While walking along the street, she was muttering expletives under her breath.  When she realized she was on camera, she was taken aback--wondering if they had heard her.  That is the real story.

Now, some may be asking how I know this even to knowing their names.  Simple!  I jumped in the TwoCat Time Machine and rushed back to ask!!

Let's flip the coin for a moment...

Three Statements:

1 Our Irish friend makes films

2 If he doesn't sell films he goes under

3  Without marketing he won't sell films

Question:

Would he take the risk and edit the CC film and insert the 'phone person' as a marketing stunt?

After all, as the saying has it: "There's no such thing as bad publicity."

So even if he was caught out by someone displaying their copy of the film without the clip, then he's already achieved massive publicity.

In fact, the 'insertion' would be as much a testament to his technical skills as to his sense of humour, and would probably do him no harm at all.  :)

So a calculated risk...? Or an actual time traveller? (What, dressed like that?) Or....
