Sure it happens. I must admit i dont like playing online against other players, as it pretty much ends up all about finding a table with enough conservative players & then lean on them aggressively. I dont like taking cash from other players like that.

However if you are thinking about table games (aka heads up again a casino dealer) then i can suggest something like Ultimate Texas Holdem 5 card as it allows you to raise up to 4x after the seeing your hand & first 3 cards. Its slow & takes patience waiting for those good hands. Carribean 5 cards isnt too bad either. In 5 card poker you probably shouldnt play on the "bonus" bets even though some of them are incredible high.

With 3 card Texas Holdem however the "pair plus or bonus" may be worth thinking about as it only takes 3 cards to get 3 card flush or a 3 card "straight" that usually give back 4 or 5:1 and is independant on if you win the hand or not. 3 of a kind usually give back 30:1. Straight flush is 40:1.

Do be carefull and make sure to read the rules (or/and house rules) of the kind of poker you choose thou as in 5 card poker a straight may beat 3 of a kind .. but in 3 card poker 3 of a kind beats a straight etc. Also if there is one thing where there is "spiked, fabricated or shuffled to loose"-rumors it has to about the poker tables, lol. Amazing how when you finally hit 2 pairs & the dealer magically has full house .. feels weird when you remember that you are playing head to head. Most importently remember to stop playing after a streak of good hands, as your "luck" wont hold.

Denzie,
Texas hold em and omaha hi/lo are the main variants of this game.

In Texas hold em, the bluffing factor (that is, the ability to bluff your competitors) is pretty important (don't let others convince you, otherwise).

Omaha hi/lo is a more strategy-oriented game (trust me, just bluffing skills won't get you very far)  -- you have to do a lot of on-the-spot probabilistic calculations/evaluations and do them correctly.

The game is called hi/lo because the pot is split between the players with the highest and lowest hands.

Poker (most versions) definitely is a game of skill, so please practice and improve your ability to play the game (whichever version you choose to specialize in) before you risk big money in a casino poker room or in an online tournament.

I'm not to bad at poker. Im doing ok. Did made it to top 20 few times in few k players tournaments. Cant seem to get in top 3 though. But thats just bad luck. You cant bluff your way to the top. We need to get those good cards too. Fifth place was my best. I only play Texas hold em.

Was just curious if others here play. Btw i play online
