Victim or Choice.
Or
Victim of Choice.

Not sure where to post this.

Thoughts are things.
What we think about tends to become real.
There are no such things as accidents.
Coincidence is just the universe re-arranging itself to meet you where you are at.

Now I could go on with that.
You get these kind of insights from many self help books.
Or from "The Secret".
And lots more.

Some say it is all a load of baloney.

Accidents happen because they do.

And so on.

Both sides are correct.
Well sort of.

From the chair...
Psychoanalyst and patient.
~~~~~~~~~~
If your in a car crash.
Your in it.
If you were not in your car.
The the car crash would not have occurred.
Ahh, but it wasn't my fault.
He crashed into me.
What were you doing on the road?
Had to go to work.
What were you thinking about?
Ummmmmmm.....
Don't recall...
Have you thought about car crashes before?
Have you seen car crashes before?
What was your though about them?
Ummm, geezzz...
I hope that don't happen to me.
Exactly...
How about trying this instead...
I will have a good and safe car ride to work today...
What?
You want me to say that?
Yeah, go on..
Ok, I will give it a try...
No, no try.. do.. Just like Yoda said.
Ok, ok...
Next patient...
Victim of attack/rape.
Hmmm, tough one.
Who is to blame?
The person who dresses up nice?
Or the person who did the act?
Tis a difficult thing...
To see such misery in one so young.
Why you he asks?
Don't know...
What did you wear?
A new dress I purchased.
Do you know how to defend your self?
No...
Why not learn?
To thin.
Hear stand up.
Lift your right leg up.
And stamp it down.
Imagine that went into the persons foot.
Ohh,, that's neat.
It's better with high heels.
Really hurts...
But if you get grabbed again.
Just lift your leg and stamp it down.
Self confidence is also a key factor.
Feel good about yourself.
Feel confident.
And most loosers will stay clear of you.
Think good thoughts.
Put the ugly ones in a draw.
Mark it. Break open only in an emergency.
The pain may not go away completely.
But time heals all wounds.
Well most of them at any rate.
Those deep ones.
Are hard to shift.
Rise above victim hood.
Try and become Robin Hood.
Thanks doc...
LOL. Good one. I enjoyed that.
A thoughtful lad, Thomas, you are.
An interesting follow-up thought is that a positive expectation and mindset, versus negative ones, could well have a bearing on gambling outcomes...
In other words, some expect to win. Others expect to lose. And the outcomes they receive tend to follow their expectations.
Right?
Right?
Given that when gambling there is a never-ending continuous numerical stream, "winning" and "losing" a session must be translated to cutting/exit with more than entered.
Due to the natural fluctuations of the game (assuming no edge), a person may be up without anything else but dumb luck. If he previously choses to quit ahead, then that can be retro-fitted to his expectation being fulfilled. Likewise, for losing, the only thing needed is for a person to keep playing with a negative expectation. If this person never gets his arse of the table when ahead (like the one with the winning expectation did, since at that point his expectation was fulfilled) then he will be forced to leave the chair when there are no unit left on his hand, again, due to pure randomness and betting with a negative expectation.
So the question would as well be, do the people expecting to win predispose themselves to leave when ahead? (while people expecting to lose, simply act until losing it all) Think about it :)
Good point.  :thumbsup:
My immediate reaction is 'Yes'.
But I'm now having a good think about all that.
Right?
Correct...
I heard that some casinos actually hire people that are unlucky.
To stand next to people that are having good runs.
The negative vibes that the other person sends out.
Seems to affect the outcome of the other person.
"Don't stand,
Don't stand,
Don't stand,so close to me"
Sting...
Some people are just lucky.
But are they, or is it all in the mind?
Intention, confidence.
State of mind.
They have a great deal to play when doing anything.
Tis a strange world out there.
Our level of thinking has only just started to comprehend the 4th dimension.
And all of us are stuck on the 3rd.
Though many are still in 2nd.
And the rest seem to be in 1st...
Keep on truckin...
