One year!

I love reading books. I go to the library, borrow mostly ''Romans policiers'', I guess thrillers is the word.

One day last November, I went there, took this book without reading the back page.  I thought it was going to be a great novel, some kind of bank robery stuff.

Title was: 13 against the bank.

And it all started then.

Didn't know shit about Roulette.  I knew there was game called Roulette in casinos, did not know exactly what it was.
Did not know anything, or almost, about Excel either.  From testing and searching, I got to learn new functions and tips with Excel and went quickly from ECs to straight-ups.

Guess you can say I got hooked real quick.  Been reckless (relatively) playing online at start and lost 30$ !!!!!

This is a fun journey, I enjoy the forum here.

Still studying, like a futur surgeon at school, learning lots before to operate anyone.

I did not happen to read any other book about roulette in the way it is told in 13 Against.
Any book suggestions?

I've been at this 10 years and it is a
rewarding journey the more you know the game.

You will study at least 10 times more than
you actually play (at least from my experience)

But then it will become second nature when
the conditions are just right to wager real money.

It does happen and the profit is real if you have the discipline.

The Newtonian Casino is quite a good read.  Not really in depth on advantage play, more of a story, but gives you the idea. Doyne Farmer ended up in the UK I believe.

Study of staking systems gives you an idea of the maths and probabilities involved, but I don't believe it is worthwhile beyond a certain point.

Since they are all losing systems in the end, this kind of study is kind of pointless in depth, as you are banging your head against the brick wall of the house edge. It's far better to spend the time learning  the wheel or concentrating on advantage play methods.
