Progression bets are nothing more than different size bets on different spins. You could get lucky and win big, or unlucky and lose even more.

This bet method is for all you lucky people who have access to a nonzero roulette game.  This does not work as well with a single zero or double zero, although if you have en prison, it's not too bad.  Should work great on Baccarat and Craps.

Pick your best Even Chance bet selection method, or just pick 1 color to bet on.  It doesn't really matter.

For this discussion, we are going to bet Red only.

We are going to bet a 1-2-4-6-8-14-30 bet line.  The thing that makes this line not as dangerous as it looks is that starting with the 6 units bet, we are going to place a 5 units bet on Black.  Yes, that does mean that if we win the 6 unit bet, we will lose the 5 unit bet and only reduce our 7 unit loss to 6 instead of 1.  That would give us a new line of 1-2-3 to be cleared.

But what happens if we lose again and our insurance bet of 5 wins?  We will let the insurance bet ride.  This means our next bet will be 8 with an insurance bet of 10.  Now if we win our 8 unit bet, we will win 3 units.  Our 8 units less the original 5 units insurance bet.  This will reduce our 1-2-4-6 to 1-2-4-3.  That's headway.  We just place another 6 units bet with a 5 unit insurance bet.

If we lose our 8 unit bet, our 10 unit insurance bet will double to 20 units.  We could collect our 20 units insurance bet less our 5 original units on insurance and reduce our line of 1-2-4-6-8 by the 15 units we just won to 1-2-3.  Not bad considering we have lost  5 bets in a row.

Or we could leave the insurance bet intact and bet 14 on Red letting the 20 units on Black ride for the next spin.  Now if Black shows we have 40 units less our original 5, so we could reduce our Red line 35 units from 1-2-4-6-8-14 to  0.  That means we lost  6 times in a row and broke even.

Nothing can stop this because at any time that we win our Red bet we just reduce our line and continue it with the next bet along with another insurance bet that we let ride and eventually we should come out ahead.

Hold on to your seats.  What if we didn't reduce our line to 0, but let our insurance bet ride again and increased our bet on Red to 30 units and Black hit 1 more time.  That means we actually lost 7 times in a row betting on our color Red.  But we now have 80 units sitting on Black.  If we take our original 5 out we have 75 units on Black and we have a line of losses on Red 1-2-4-6-8-14-30 = 65.  We can actually wipe out all our losses and be plus 10 units to boot.

Now you can see why this works only on a nonzero wheel.  Although, it can also work on any wheel as long as zero doesn't hit in the middle of our losses.  And even if it does, it's not the end of the world.

Of course when you hit on 1 of the first 3 bets (1-2-4) you will win 1 unit so start over at 1.

There you have it.  Using this insurance bet method, I don't see how you can lose playing on a nonzero wheel.

Please analyze this bet method and let me know if you see something I overlooked.

Hey George mind post some spins with how you wager your bets?

An example follows

Here's what I overlooked.  I have realized that if you don't lose long enough for the parlay to develop, it can be a real grind to recover.  I haven't had time to test this,  but will soon.  All help appreciated.

This is our bet line 1-2-4-6-8-14-30.

1.  1 unit on Red      Red spins               +1     Reset
2.  1 unit on Red      Red spins               +1     Reset
3.  1 unit on Red      Black spins             -1
4.  2 units on Red    Black spins             -3
5.  4 units on Red    Red spins                +1    Reset
6.  1 unit on Red      Black spins              -1
7.  2 units on Red    Black spins              -3
8.  4 units on Red    Black spins              -7
9.  6 units on Red & 5 units on Black     Black spins
10.  8 units on Red & 10 units on Black   Black spins
11.  14 units on Red & 20 units on Black  Black spins
12.  0
13.  1 unit on Red    Red spins               +1     Reset

As you can see when we win on any of the 1st 3 bets, we win 1 unit.  Put that aside and begin a new attack.

Starting with line 6 we begin losing.  The 1st 3 losses put us at -7 units.
This makes our recovery line look like this  1-2-4.
At this point we go to 6 units on Red and 5 units on Black.
If Red hits and we win 6 units and lose 5, we reduce our recovery line to -6.
If Black hits and we lose 6 on Red and win 5 on Black, we leave the 6 in our recovery line and let the insurance bet on Black ride.
Our recovery line will look like: 1-2-4-6 and we'll have 10 units to bet on Black next spin.
Our next bet will be 8 on Red and 10 on Black.  The 10 is made up of our 5 unit bet plus 5 unit win.
If Red spins, we will have 8-5 = 3.  Our recovery line will be 1-2-4-3.
If Black spins, we will lose 8 units on Red and win 10 units on Black.
We will leave our line at 1-2-4-6-8 and bet 14 units on Red and let the 20 units ride on Black.
If Red spins, we will win 14 units on Red and lose our initial 5 unit bet on Black for +9 units.
This will leave our recovery line at 1-2-4-5.
If Black wins, we will lose 14 units on Red and win 20 more units on Black giving us 40 units on Black.  5 units initial insurance bet plus the 35 units won by letting it ride or parlaying.
At this point we will have lost 35 units in our line 1-2-4-6-8-14 and won 35 units on our parlay.
The units won on our insurance parlay will have wiped out our line bets and we should start over with 1 unit bet on Red.

Sorry about not being able to put this in a readable chart.  I'm computer challenged.

Maybe someone else who can present this in a better format will help us out.

Like I said above, the weakness to the bet method is that if you have a lot of losses and wins between bets 4,5 & 6 it can create a grind to clear the line.

Hope this helps.

Okay, maybe I can see how you could lose on a nonzero wheel, but you would have to have the drop dead worst run of luck I can imagine.  I think. :'(

More testing will make things clearer.

I take this statement back.  Do not attempt this except on a nonzero wheel.

Although, it can also work on any wheel as long as zero doesn't hit in the middle of our losses.  And even if it does, it's not the end of the world.

Yes it is the end of the world!!
