Thank you dear friends for your most thoughtful advice.

The worse times have passed. I am seeing Jr. almost on a daily basis now.

As for the day job, I conceded it to a long-term friend who was in greater dismay (mom ill, unemployed).

At least I got my local IT clients, he's got nothing --Well, now he's got the job.

I am taking my time to make 2011 the year I finally either become a full-time web programmer OR the year I forget about the internet and go intern into working for a local company full time.

As for the personal life, I look forward to have everything sorted by the end of the year. With my son by my side again and -hopefully- wifey completely back.

Slowly but surely.

Interesting year in my life indeed!

Vic

Yes my brother, either online or offline I know I'm going to be fine.

I have my feet on the ground. My aim is to be a proficient developer, not to be a full-time gambler with all the uncertainties attached (i.e. feed my family IF the ball lands on my bet slot, that's unacceptable!).

I can still be an active weekend player, but not taking it to any level, just for fun and relax. If I make some EXTRA, good, but never relying on it to "put the bacon on the table", that's what the job is for.

Thanks for your kind words dear Iggiv.

Hi Victor

Good to see things taking such a positive turn for you

Hopefully, the tipping-tool will also eventually help put bacon-on-the-table.

We all realise time and energy are often in short supply when life takes a sudden turn.

So everyone understands it could well be down on the list at the moment because -- inevitably -- priorities sometimes have to change after a personal crisis.

VLS

Actually dear Esoito, the tipping tool may be a short-lived project.

Every time I spend trying to tweak it is time I'm not coding other things. Perhaps I must do a release and cut it soon after.

Of course, I'm honoring every session booked. I just don't want to spend my life trying to find the "sweet spot" that will work for every person so to speak. It will work for some, it won't work for some others. That's it. I am done trying to achieve that mythical 100%!! (unachievable).

Also, I'm slowly starting my VLS.cc site, little by little, and hope to derive a recurring income from it. I could also do roulette software, but I'm reluctant to do it for a fee. I know several members have paid 3rd-party programmers for coding roulette systems and are disappointed for having paid for it... What I want to do is to help people in the roulette community to learn to code their own systems so no money is lost, and the learned processes can also be applied into other fields.

Yep. The   H  G   sure is elusive... ;D

But you weren't far off from what I could tell in the beta-testing

And you've now got your first new member -- little ol' me!  ;)

An admirable objective.  Be interesting to see how that unfolds.

Although how you'll find the time for that as well is going to be a big ask of yourself.

You could get overloaded so easily and so quickly...but you already realise that, I'm sure!

A noble goal Victor - help people to help themselves. Programming is a very useful skill which can open up all kinds of doors. I will definitely keep an eye on your new forum.

Depending on what software they chose to code in.
So far we have Basic.
Pascal
Delphi
C++

Great to see you posting again Victor and I am happy for you that things seem to be taking a turn for the better on the home front.

It is a brilliant idea to educate people on how to create the code for their own systems.
From a personal perspective, I would rather pay someone to teach me a new skill over just letting them do it for me.  Anyway, I look forward to learning more and good luck with your new venture.

Regarding the tipping tool, I still have faith that somewhere down the line you will produce something very worthwile. These things take loads of time and it would be very premature for people to write it off.

Dear Victor,

Not to be taken as offensive but am I the only one that sees the profitability potential for YOU of the tipping tool?

If it works as you say, cannot say for myself really, I had done very little testing before the server crashed, it would draw in many players.

Me personally, I plan to use it for 15-20 sessions DAILY(small units, relying on overall profit for the day). That's 15$ in session fees just from me. Multiplied by 30 days equals 450$.

Now its safe to assume that there are 30 people on this forum that would plan to use the tool. 10 of them would play every day, approx 6-10 sessions each, 10 of them would play every other day approx 5 sessions, and 10 of them would play 1 session per day.

So you have

10 people by roughly 8 sessions/8 dollars daily by 30 days = 2400$
10 people by roughly 5 sessions/5 dollars every other day*15 days = 750$
10 people by 1 session/1 dollar daily = 300$

then you have extra 450$ just from my sessions

so if my math is correct the above sums up to roughly 3900$ PER MONTH, just for supporting the service against crashes from merely 31 active players. Imagine if you draw in 100, or 500 players.

Now, how is that not going to put that bacon on your table?

At least if the service is not going to happen, just say so, as many of us have been holding our breath for months now since you did a very good job in building up the tension for the tool's effectiveness over this period. I clearly remember one member asking "Is this the end of roulette as we know it?" and you replied "No, not really, as there are millions of other players out there that play their own systems and hunches and would not deviate from their understanding, even if it is a losing one." That clearly showed what enormous confidence you have in your project.

i second that. if this will take even a year more to implement it slowly (not disturbing other things in life), Victor could do a great thing in his life as in life of the others.

I checked this tool a few times (when i had this possibility) and all times it won. I think it is worth it to continue, though not to break a head over it. As Victor said, winning rate was amazing.

anyway if it can't be done as it is now, then it is worth to cooperate with some other programmers to implement it.

Victor,

You're still on my list.

I know that you will make coming decisions based on what's best for Victor Jr. first and foremost then yourself and your wife.

We must sacrifice so our kids don't suffer because of the parent's mistakes.

You've got a lot of prayers and good wishes coming your way from all over the world.   Wow!  What place to be in.  Sounds like a pivotal year in your life.

May God bless every step.

George

In my case it doesn't matter.  I'm both!

VLS

Thank you dear friends.

This year is indeed a pivotal year.

Like sekuritati says  (I'm a bit more realistic in my appreciations, but I do hope this brings in consistent profits... and I an make it pass as "non gambling!", which is what I'm being demanded to offer).

...and Iggiv, this was very pleasant to read:

Thank you. I do hope to bring a good proposition to the table.

Cheers!

Oh the scent of expectancy in the air.

It sure smells good.

I ain't going to be the one putting any dampness on this fire, the optimism is fantastic to read.

Possibly the figures mentioned a tad over ambitious, tho it shows the potential that
could be realised by the originator, and his family, for they will all benefit.

Bring the TooL to the table my friend, ever mind the bacon!!

I'll slap it between two rounds of bread for good measure!

In summary tho, I just want to say, all the positive words, messages and encouragement, are wonderful to read- I surround my self in positive thoughts every day of my life, and it pays off.

The dividend here for VLS, is to be the backbone to the software, the server relationship, and keeping the forum updated as to the REAL-TIME results. (And notes on any tweaks made.)

Looks like Twisteruk's RESULTS topic will soon be open for business, and let the good, the bad and the down right ugly,  pour into that thread.

There will be disappointment for some, tears and tantrums may break out too, tho lets just hope that for the  majority of TippinG TooL users, the results put a lovely smile on that face of Ur's.

And mine too.  :)  ;)  :-*

Happy Birthday Chris.  :P

If that is the case. Then why not play in teams? That way everybody would come out ahead.

Yep.

Lets set Up a new Topic then, as soon as testing is complete, and the TooL is released for REAL TIME use.

I'd be up for being in a team. [attachimg=#]
