hello Chris,

If you ever get a chance to visit the Gala in Birmingham, you will see the croupiers only spin the ball in one direction depending on the layout of the table. When I first saw them do it, I just thought the croupier had made a mistake but this is standard.

I am not 100% sure why they do it. I did have one whacky theory.

A croupier using their right hand to throw in an anti-clockwise direction may not be able to control the spin as much as they would like. The same would apply to a croupier using their left hand to throw in a clockwise direction.

There has to be some reason why and no doubt it involves keeping things tight!

Maybe a few others have an opinion on this as well.

Hi  flukey luke ! You're absolutely right when you're not 100% sure why they do it and you did have one whacky theory ;)

So it's your turn to ask a question now !!!

ok, on to the next question.

A lot of people think that 17 is a popular roulette number in the movies. James Bond played it once I think in 'her majesty's secret service', but..... there is an even more popular number that was played in several movies such as 'Casablanca', 'sting' and 'lost in america'.

What is the number?

Playborne

Is that 7 ?  ???

I do not remember exactly, but as 7 is considered to be a lucky number, I suppose it is it!

Hello Playborne,

Unfortunately it's not number 7.

You can have another 37 tries if you like, lol.

It's a black number.

Any more takers?

Playborne

LOL good point mate, I'll chose another number from the rest 37 left :D:D Ok than, waiting for someone else to give the answer...

Unfortunately not Chris!

Here is the final clue.

It's in the second dozen, 1st column and is an even number.

(it's also my age cut in half which makes me feel old, lol)

So whoever answers correctly gets to ask the next question.

cheers

I thought U were 52, and I divided by 4!..... Sorry John!!!

So it must be 2 Ducks then?

flukey luke
