But what does that all mean?

Sounds like something a meat pie tester is doing.

Or is it to do with math?
The square root of pie.?

Interesting that.
When pie relates to something round.
Like a circle.
And here you are asking the Square root of it.
Circle Squared.?

Or

Squared Circle.
