I've been busy as of late the storm Irene now the canter will pass right though my town Lindenhurst N.Y. I  live right near the water about 100 feet .
Also I live on an Island with about a few hundred houses maybe a square mile ib total. You have a small bridge to the Island. So if things get bad I'm out of
here. They say water might get 12 ft over what it is now. I do have another house I may go to upstate so hang in there. My family first. Look up my
address xxxxxxxxxx on the map. you will see what I mean . I'm on Long Island.

I worry about family we may get enogh water here to reach the 2nd floor.But If I see things start to get bad I'm gone with the family. I have a boat in the back yard also a same skip they use to help people that you see on T.V. So I will down and have a wait and see. Will keep in touch here.

We all here have things not good to say at each other but I still think of it's family here when things get bad like what is going on here on Long Island N.Y

Hi everyone

It seems the eye of the storm will be about 2 miles of my house. that is the update so far The water will be by
house  6 to 10 feet higher. That means the water may go as high as my 2nd floor. Will keep up the updates.

Right now trying to save what is down on the 1sr floor. This isn't looking good.

Hi everyone

Things seems  it may get a little better . The water surge may only be about 4 to 5 ft. but my houe is a little high off the ground. so it may only take a few feet or less.. The storm may slow down under a Cat. 1 . Tommorow wil know more . just got home from my house up state to get some tools and things in case I stay  3 hours there 3 hours back.I will see if it's safe enough to stay when things heat up. I can stay here helping the old if they need help or other people who may need it.

Will let you know more as the storm come in I'm about 1mile away or 2 at most where it will land so it will hit hard..where I'm at.I was hard core in vietnam so this isn't much for me to handle. My family will be gone and safe that is the main thing.
