Yes dividing by 2 will just make it lose slower and make coming back slower.  It really is NOT a bad system.  We probably should keep track of all 3 even chances and start play after about 20 spins.  Pick the one that did the worst, and hope for a come back.  I am thinking of some modifications.  So we shall see.
