I'm sick of this BS so I'm venting. (lol)

Do any of your family/friends slam you, insult you or crack jokes because of playing roulette or gambling in general?

Lets be honest, if you are a constant loser, I cant say I blame them. Myself, I can net 3K for the day and get evil looks (and remarks) from family/friends. Not so much for being jealous but because its NOT the PROPER way to earn a living. (No, roulette is not my only source of income)

Question being, do you guys also get this treatment?

I think as long as play/results is heading in the + direction, then what's their issue!

In my private life, not even one person knows what i know and what i do.. NOT EVEN ONE. In other words something completly different than having any idea about my knowledge and connecting me with this game with any kind connection.
Actualy there are only few people i talk about this game on croatian at all... Only you guys on forum know me when it is time to speak about and play this game... 
Interesting parts are when i go with my friends and cousins in local casinos.. Well, there i am the dumbest person for that game. Don't know a thing and fascinated by all that lights and enviroment. Saying wow and dreaming on loud how it would be great if this game could be beaten... 


But during all that time, in my head, silenced virual battle is going on with this game...


And like this will remain as much as possible. Ill do my best efforts to keep it as similar to this. Not even one word about my knowledge and play won't be said to people who doesn't deserve it... Or maybe they are deserving but i am sure they wouldnt understand all that...And i don't have time or wish for explaining. This game is magical, and when you know few spells, if you are smart, you won't show that just like that. In fact, best spells i want to keep and perform only for myself..

Yes, Yes.  I've found the subject is nothing to talk about in polite company and I find myself boasting about other ways to make money E-Bay, photography, etc.  but never, never gambling!

I just tell people that I'm a member of a roulette forum.  That our purpose is to combine knowledge and expertise and see if it is possible to develop a mechanical system that will beat roulette.

Since I don't go to a casino except rarely and I don't win or lose any large amounts of money, all I get from my wife is a little irritation that I spend so much time on the forum.

It's bearable.

I just say I win some and lose some but generally break even which is pretty much the truth, although I am a bit in profit.
If I get criticism I ask is they play the lottery etc. It's surprising how many do on a regular basis but don't consider it gambling.
People assume that gambling is always a problem whereas like alcohol etc. it only is for some.

Oh my Ken... this really hits the nail on the head. Allow me to vent also.  
You can't imagine how many times I've heard my husband say, "Want to know how to make money playing roulette? Don't play!" >_< And when I have something exciting I want to share... he doesn't want to hear, as he doesn't want to "encourage" me. Actually his newest phrase is, "Random is Random." Very profound, LoL, I know.

And then I was visiting family in the States and always testing my numbers. When my mother asked what I'm doing, my sister piped up quickly "Oh, that is some really hard European Suduko!" But at my Dad's, there was no way he was going to buy that so... I had to hide in my room! Or go early to bed so I could test! 
I find it hilarious really. I guess I will tell them, ...one day.
Being clandistine is kinda fun for now.

We only person who knows at least in details is my wife. She has nothing against my playing.
Of course I would not ask for her money, and I must pay my share at home.
She still works and have more income than I have as retired.
