Progression bets are nothing more than different size bets on different spins. You could get lucky and win big, or unlucky and lose even more.

Win 2 or lose 3

Here's a method that works well on even chance bets.

We will be playing in 7 bet batches.

We will play these 7 bets until we are up 2 bets or down 3 bets.

To win we need W W that's up 2 bets,  or WLWW  up 2 bets or LWLWWW, or WLLWWW, etc...
To lose we need LLL or LWLLL or WLLWLLL or LLWWLLL.

If we get 3 W's and 4 L's or 4 W's and 3 L's we replay the batch.

If we lose, we move up the progression.  We play this D'Alembert style.  That's up one level on a loss and down one level on a win.

Here's the progression:

1
2
3
5
8
12
18
27
41
62

Remember each level represents 7 bets but we don't usually have to play all 7 bets to reach either +2 or -3.

A total loss of the progression is -537 units.  Of course it's totally impossible to lose 30 bets in a row which is what it would take.

seems like an improvement on the Gr8 progression, thanks

Tom,

An easy way to keep track of where you are when at a table is to keep at stack of 7 chips.  As you lose you put a chip to the left and as you win you put a chip to the right.  Any time you have 2 more chips to the right than the left, you have won that attack.  Any time you have 3 more chips on the left than on the right you have lost that attack.  If you have 3 on one and 4 on the other, replay same bet amount.

I like the D'Alembert best 1-2-3-5-8-12-18-27-41-62 etc...

When I'm playing 1's, if I win the 1st bet, I bank it and start fresh.  So I don't start my 7 bets until I lose which means I always start 1 in the whole when betting 1 unit.

For safety, you can move to 10 bet attacks or even higher.

Should work as well as anything on bac.

Good Luck my friend.

Thanks Drogan.  Some may not share your assessment but I've had nothing but good results from my tests and actual sessions at the casino.  And my casino play is on a double zero wheel.

Tomla021 is correct, it's a tweak to the gr8player's progression.  Instead of playing 7 bets and then analyzing whether you're up or down and adjusting your bet size accordingly, this method keeps us more current.

Also, Gr8player's progression only went 1-2-3-4-5 which limits it's power quite a bit.  By increasing the number of levels you can play, we increase our chances of full recovery.  Along with this benefit, we must accept the greater risk of losing a larger bank.  Stop losses are a necessary factor in roulette.

We all know that a stop-loss will prevent us from losing an excessive amount at one sitting.  What we can't control, and this is a possibility, is that we will hit our stop-loss multiple times close together.  Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do to eliminate risk altogether.

All of my systems are an attempt to minimize risk and push the possiblity of disaster further away so we have time to win 20 or so units and walk.

This type progression doesn't work well with systems designed to catch 1 win within say 4 bets.  Like "The Author's" system which bets 1-2-3-6 and if you lose all 4 bets, you just repeat the same bet progression.  A win on either of the 1st 2 bets nets +1 and a win on either of the last 2 bets nets 0.  He suggests taking 36 units which gives you 3 attacks.  When you lose the 3 attacks you leave or set a win target like 10 or 12 units and if you reach that before losing your three 12 units banks, leave, or take a break.

I say my win 2 or lose 3 progression doesn't work as well on The Author's type system, but I've tested it using his bet selection method and it works quite well.  That's because in reality no matter what bet selection method you use, the next spin is still random so you have as much of a chance to win the next bet no matter what bet selection method you prefer.

Good Luck,

I have tested this a couple of times with the 4 unit trot representing 1 unit in the 7 unit line.

4 unit trot
1 1 1 1
1 2 1 1
1 1 2 2
1 1 2 3
1 1 3 3

A win = +4 units

If you win 2 of these it will represent 2 wins out of our 7 unit level and we will be fully recovered and can reset.

If we lose 3 of them, that will be -12 units but it will represent 3 losses of our 7 unit level and we must move to our next level.

This has worked great, it just takes a really long time to play.

If you like grinding play this is something to consider.  I know that mathematically it doesn't change our chances but in real play it seems to make winning 1 more sure.  It's so difficult to determine because it can take as many as 20 bets or more to determine if we win or lose what represents 1 unit.

Just some ramblings.

Cheers,

seems like it would be awfully tough to beat with that ambidex trot----slow is ok as I get older

So far it has been tough to beat.  Of course when we lose a 4 unit trot, it only represents 1 bet on the win 2 or lose 3 progression, but it is really 4 units.  Or, if a unit is $4 and each unit in the 4 unit trot is only $1, then if you lose 3 trots of 4's you're really only down 3 units or 12 quarter units. :o :o   This is one tough progression to explain.

By the way, I've been playing this a little since I like to do testing on my quarter airball machine so I play quarters in the 4 bet trot.  This works perfectly since my 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 represents $1 each.

I've found that I do better playing for real on the airball machine than testing on Betvoyager.  Makes testing not only testing but playing as well.

Hello my friends, lately I play this system .I think it is very powerfull and stable.I never reach 10 level of the progression.I play a little bit differently.I do not play 8 bets in one level, I play one level until is +2 or -3 no matter how spins are.May be this can be play with something like win 4 ot lose 6 in one level-the bankroll will be double, but is way more sure i think, because the number of spins grow, so it will have smaller deviation  persentge between lose and win spins
Or it can be win 3 or lose 4-than the level bet will grow not by half and for 1/3
level bet-1
               1.33
                1.76
               2.34...and so on

I like this progression, provided it stops at 18. 6 steps x 3u x 31 units total, 93 units lost is probably enough to call it a day. I like gr8 player's but stages 4 and 5 are to slow. One should try to get out of negative territory asap.

with either variation discussed her, let's say you lose 3 (3x1), you lose 6 (3x2), you lose 9 (3x3), so far a total of 18 units lost, now you win 10 (2x5), what is you next bet, because after you win 10, you are still down 8 units.  Do you stay at the 5 level to recover, go down to betting at the 3 level or go back to the 1 level?

I think GLC intended this to be played up 1 level on a loss and down 1 level on a win.  As soon as you reach plus, go back to 1 unit.  In your example, you would drop down to the 3 unit level and if you win at the 3 unit level, you would drop down to the 2 unit level.  A win at the 2 unit level and you're back to even.
Don't think that because your system has never lost, it can't lose.  Always be prepared for the worst.

Or just play flat bet and forget all the maths.
