I know John Legend is a controversial name on this forum (and elsewhere).

Yes, he hyped his results, however, I will always give him credit for the following.

He was the biggest (and flashiest) promoter of the "big" idea of betting against rare sequences at certain critical moments of time on a strictly hit-and-run basis.

Many, many other methods posted on this forum (in the post-2012 period) are essentially based on the "big" idea above. And for that, I give John Legend full credit.

We have to give credit where credit is due -- period.

Alongside the above name, I would also list Hermes. He also posted many good ideas both in terms of bet selection methods as well as betting progressions.
