This is just an interesting way to look at the numbers of roulette and how they can be broken into different 9 number lists.

I think that using Ironsteel's excellent system, and tracking each of the following 4 categories and picking the area that has shown the least number of hits in the 37 spin tracking, we should always have an excellent betting opportunity.

Low Black #'s: 2-4-6-8-10-11-13-15-17
Low Red #'s: 1-3-5-7-9-12-14-16-18
Low Even #'s: 2-4-6-8-10-12-14-16-18
Low Odd #'s: 1-3-5-7-9-11-13-15-17

High Black #'s: 20-22-24-26-28-29-31-33-35
High Red #'s: 19-21-23-25-27-30-32-34-36
High Even #'s: 20-22-24-26-28-30-32-34-36
High Odd #'s: 19-21-23-25-27-29-31-33-35

Quadrant #1: 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9
Quadrant #2: 10-11-12-13-14-15-16-17-18
Quadrant #3: 19-20-21-22-23-24-25-26-27
Quadrant #4: 28-29-30-31-32-33-34-35-36

Sector 1: 2-4-15-17-19-21-25-32-34
Sector 2: 6-8-10-11-13-23-27-30-36
Sector 3: 1-5-9-14-16-20-24-31-33
Sector 4: 3-7-12-18-22-26-28-29-35

As you can see, by creating a chart so we can track each number spun in each of the sections: Low - High - Quadrant - Sector; we will be able to readily locate which 9 numbers make up our best betting opportunity.

Sections explanation:

Low:  Numbers 1-18
High: Numbers 19-36
Quatdrant:  The table divided into four 9 number sections per Ironsteel's method
Sector:  The single zero wheel divided into 9 number sections

Please note that we can't use Red Even, Red Odd, Black Even, Black Odd because these four sections don't have 9 numbers each.

Per Ken's legitimate concern that we won't be able to make our bets in time, I think that if we memorize the numbers that go into each category, we will be able to make our bets quickly and without errors.  It will take practice, but practice and I mean a lot of practice, is necessary if we are to consider ourselves profressional roulette players.  And how can you expect to win if you don't work at it hard enough to become a professional.  Remember, I told you once before that you must be willing to put in the time and earn the equivalent of a Master's degree in roulette if you intend to win consistently at this most complicated and difficult game.

To keep all this data organized, you will have to develop a chart that can be filled in quickly.  It must reveal at a glance how many hits each section has received and also the amount of the next bets.

I think that including all the sections with Ironsteel's system will give us one of the best opportunities to win at roulette.

Of course you don't have to use all 4 categories.  You can stay with Ironsteel's quadrants or add 1 or 2 or all 3 of the other categories.

for those of us who play online, a tracker of sorts would be helpfull in spotting which group is most favourable for betting

One way around this is to see that the EC patterns of length 2, namely:

RR
RB
BR
BB

each have a probability of hitting of 25%, which is the same as each of the 4 9 number groups in IronSteel's system. So a way of incorporating the ECs is to track each of the above patterns and then bet according to the rules. So supposing RB shows up only 5 times in the first 37 spins. Your first bet will be on R. Now, there are 2 options after this bet, depending on whether it loses or wins; if it wins you can go ahead and bet B, but if it loses you can choose to miss a bet (obviously, the pattern RB can't be completed) and start afresh on the next spin, increasing your stake by 1 unit. Alternatively, in the second bet you could look at your patterns, then choose to bet the EC which represents the 2nd bet in the pattern which has hit next least (assuming the first bet for that pattern was a winner).

This is surely a great analysis, GLC!

Like you said yourself, playing this way can get really challenging, but hey, no one said that being a professional roulette player was easy, right?

I can sure tell you, like you have noticed yourself, that keeping the track of numbers is not as easy as it sounds: it does take a lot of practice and mind training to make the tracking fast enough and without making any mistakes.

Your variant makes it a step more difficult but I'm sure that the experienced players here would have no trouble putting this into practice.

Keep in mind that splitting the numbers in such groups won't let you bet on streets, so this variant should only be applied on straight up numbers bets, which is harder but for sure it is still a very efficient way to play my system.

I've never thought of tracking patterns in my system, but as explained on my main thread, feel free to use the basis of my system to develop your own ways of playing to your own satisfaction.

Stealing somebody else's words, I'm glad that my system provided you of two more arrows in your quiver.

Unfortunately, I got dizzy just reading about it.  At least it's here for anyone who wants to go for the gold.  I think 4 categories is enough for me.  At first I may even leave out the wheel sectors since they are the most difficult to play.  This could prove to be a bad move since the wheel based sectors may be the most stable category.

I was wondering, if we devide the wheel in let say 4 sectors like you did or any other way, but having 4 sets of 9 numbers (not counting the 0)
How long can a sector sleep?
I ask because if an E/C can sleep for 15+ spins and it has 18 numbers does that mean that 9 number sector can sleep for double that? or how to calculate it?
Mathematically it should hit every 4 spins but thats not the way random works
What should we expect?
And does it depend on the way we devide the numbers?
To beat the game you first have to realise you can't beat the game - then comes the hard part

It's because this kind of question comes up a lot that I made a table in this thread. The equivalent of a 15 spin EC sleep for 9 numbers is 36 spins.

You can create as many groupings as you want to. They all act the same with regards to randomness.  I Know. I spent many years comparing different groupings. The only way to discover this for yourselves is to spend years yourself. In the end you would have gotten there faster if you would have attempted to understand randomness.
