Don't mean to be a party pooper, but as Atlantis knows, if there's a losing streak I'll find it.  Here's my results summarized:

So, not so good to start, but there's bound to be some losing stretches.  Hope to recover losses tomorrow and pull ahead with the rest of you.

Longest game so far 70 spins.
Average number of spins per game = 50, 24 spins being the minimum spins possible to complete a game.
34 of the 45 games won on bets 1, 2 or 3.
7 of the games won on bets 4, 5 or 6.
4 games lost.
Had I only bet 1, 2 or 3 then reset if no win I would have won 81 units and lost 66 for a net gain of +15 instead of a net loss of -8.
I know this is back engineering, but it's interesting none the less.

One last observation.  If I had bet 1  1  2 for my 3 bets I would have lost 11X4=44 units on the 11 losing games and won 60 units on the 34 winning games for a net gain of +16 units.  Not bad for risking 4 units per game instead of 28.  Something to think about.

Bayes, I know a lot of this is a rabbit trail.  Just wanted to present it for others to consider.  Feel free to delete it when you clean things up, as if you needed my permission.

I'm out for the following reasons:

1.  When you have waited and it is time to bet, what makes that bet more likely to win?  Nothing.  You have the same chance as if you had just picked a dozen at random from the get-go.  Because it takes so long to amass any personal data, you feel like you're winning when you are just losing more slowly.  When I play this I am reminded of an old saying:  Darn!  There's got to be an easier way to lose money!

2.  I will never believe in "Hit and Run".  Maybe that's my problem, but I'll never believe in it.  I do believe the wheel can change while you're playing as I've seen it happen.  But to jump in and win?  Not for me.  Power to those for whom it works.

I really expected something from this and I am truly disappointed.  Reminds me of a song by Waylon Jennings:

Lord, it's the same old tune, fiddle and guitar
Where do we take it from here?

Sam,  I appreciate your position.  We're all a little skeptical, that's why we're testing this.

Don't overlook my last post.  There may be some options that make this one worth risking some chips on.  It's certainly no worse than the majority of those posted here including ones I've posted.
It is hard to believe that there's some reason for it to win.  Fortunately, it's easy to test against historic spins.  I've gone through 2250 spins and am still in the hole 8 units.  Maybe I'm just unlucky or maybe everyone else is just lucky.  The proof's in the pudding.

Look up the other thread where Atlantis posted other method of playing Reverse Code 4.
He had some success using 1,1,1,2 prog. I tested it 2 and it showed some promise.

A ship moored in the harbour is safe, but that's not what ships are made for.

Skakus

If we could use historical spins to test we could finish this much quicker.
Does JL or anybody have any objections to using historical actuals?

vundarosa

Attached my first 50 games test

Profit is -51u. busted the progression a few times already.

I assumed a 60 spins/hr table (1440 spins a day) and am testing on a 50k spins file. So i test till a win or bust then forward 130 spins from that point so i wouldn't be playing more than 11 games a day.

Whenever i finish a 10 games set i move my spins to the next thousand and start from there. So if i finish game 20 at spin 2384 i start game 21 at spin 3000: in red the game played, in green spin number.

I put the aggregate numbers into a spreadsheet to get an idea how things are going.

Units   Games
0   0
-51   50
8.7   2
11   4
-14   6
12   5
51   33
16   5
4   35
-8   45
----  -----
+29.7   185  Totals

50      Average Spins Per Game
185    Games
9250   Estimated spins so far

2.70%   Estimated house edge
2.7        Estimated chips-per-100 expected loss
92.5      Estimated hundreds of spins
249.75   Estimated no. of chips expected to lose

Summary:
-----------
The group is up 30 chips when it should be down 250 chips.  Is this within normal variance of random?  Dunno. But it appears to be positive at this point.  Another way to look at it:  If you ran 9250 spins on an outside bet like black on a European wheel, what are the chances you would be up 30 units at this point?  1 in 10?  1 in 20?  Somebody better check my math.

Ok, i'm looking closer at Rolletti's picture of a test on the following page:
link:://rouletteforum.cc/index.php?topic=9537.30
It looks like it would be possible to be up 100u after as many as 200 games.  So, not out of the woods just yet.
